Plumbing the water inlets on our IBC wicking beds. I tried 2 different ways of using the fabric to keep the sand separated from under the pallets. Not sure which will work better, but wrapping the crate sure made the sand shoveling a lot easier. #wickingbeds #grownostr #growfood #microhomestead #13stomps #TSP

This is next on our list to add to the homestead. We’ve been researching. Need to get the infrastructure started, and locate a source for a good heat tolerant breed.

Just put our seedlings out to get the last hour + of afternoon sun. They have still been inside under grow lights because my husband injured his shoulder and our wicking bed project has stalled to what I can physically do after work and on weekends. Wondering if they can stay out tonight if it is going to be a low of 55, so I don’t have to carry them in and out. Anybody know? (Tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, watermelon, squash, peas) Thanks!

Adorable! We were dog people too, but now we have two cats that we have rescued. They’re so amazing. 
I’ve been fighting to lose weight after going through major hormone and metabolic changes from cancer treatment. I switched to keto a month or so ago, and am having great success. I don’t know if I’m ready to go full carnivore, but the carbs I get are from green veg. and berries. Good stuff!
