Creative solutions...and getting some hotel rooms along the way makes good sense.
I think a chronicle / lessons learned would be pretty cool...
For almost a year, the van life was a reality for me. I built an entire studio apartment in my Kia Soul and went to all the Southwestern & West Coast States, visiting places from White Sands, New Mexico to the vortexes in Sedona, Arizona to Seattle, Washington. During this time, I kept myself company with TikTok, but it was a lonely platform, nothing like Nostr. In two Nostr events I attended, I had more fun than I did traveling by myself. I would like to adventure out that way again for Nostr events. I want to ride those utv's in the Arizona dirt. I would like to take a hot air balloon ride. I want to go to more state and national parks. I need more exploration. I fell in love with nature on this road trip of a lifetime, but it would be nice to do it with friends this time around.
I wasn't a very good TikTokker because I like talking to people vs staring at a camera talking to myself. I am sharing one of my favorite TikTok videos I made while I was in my housecar. It is nothing fancy, but it is moment in my history.
I do apologize to Stephen Baldwin. I don't know what kind of Mandela Effect my brain had on Bio-Dome, the movie, but I thought Brendan Fraser was in it. He won for celebrity crush back in 1996.

Kia Soul?
I'm not sure I could live one day in that, let alone a year...
How you survived (thrived?) in something that small would have been a great story to follow...would love to see you document your experiences in a "lookback" chronicle on that year (maybe on Nostr? 😃 )
It'd be a really great read...
I agree with Coracle - if you want privacy (and you should) then take steps to independently ensure your own privacy (SimpleX is a great choice).
Don't wait for someone else to do it (e.g. coding it into Nostr). Nostr will get better (I'm sure) but regardless, each person needs to take ownership of their own lives.
(And assume that virtually everything that you publish online is at some level discoverable).
This might be your most profound post ever L ...
Success is personal (and it has to be). You'll always find people to say you're wrong, you can't succeed, it's a dumb idea, etc.
But success only comes from being relentless, believing in yourself, and pressing on regardless of any barriers (perceived or real) that may be in your way.
Bravo!
Apathy is the perfect word--and it's endemic to modern socienty in general.
People don't care about privacy ("I've got nothing to hide")
People don't care about inflation ("My 401K is going up")
People don't care about voting ("My vote doesn't matter")
People don't care about crime ("I don'r want to get involved")
People don't care about God ("I only have to answer to myself")
Apathy--people are too comfortable "letting someone else" do it.

Happy Friday!
So cold this morning that my first notes didn't publish.
Guess I need to get some coffee in first...(hoping this one publishes)

The administrative cost is due to oppressive governmental regulations, and the cost of compliance, documentation and reporting.
Completely insane...legislation typically runs thousands of pages each year.
Hmmm...would be a nice addition to Umbrel...betting this would run on a Raspberry Pi...
Oh man, that takes me back...probably the most talented and innovative comedy group ever.
But British humor is an acquired taste...
GM Nostr!
Happy Thursday!
Going in for another set of tires today...different vehicle, but same story.
Man those things are expensive.
Going to need some extra coffee today!

The government never generates "revenue" - they simply steal from the populace via taxes (and other illicit means).
Here is what the article said:
He "clone(ed) endangered mountain sheep embryos and use them to breed a hybrid species"
That is not selective breeding (where you breed a poodle and a labrador)--that's genetic manipulation.
Only problem is socialists need others to pay for the things they want. Socialism is not self-sustaining without taking funds from the productive members of society.
GM Nostr!
Happy Wednesday!
Time to zap and drink coffee!

Selective breeding is quite different from genetic manipulation...and yet even with selective breeding, man is not smart enough to understand the consequences of such activity.
The hubris of scientists knows no bounds...
Exactly my point...genetic manipulation is bad.
Period.
That's what created COVID...man does not understand the "science" enough to even think aobut messing with genomes, but we're doing it anyway.
Genetic manipulation is always wrong. Seriously wrong.
Frankly he should be put in prison for life.
