Peace, love, freedom. First freedom.. Maddie de Garay was a 12 year old in the trial for Pfizer's covid vaccine. Immediately after her second jab she had a severe reaction that has put her in a wheelchair ever since. Pfizer simply decreed that this was not an effect of the vaccine - even though this was in the trial whose purpose is literally to determine the vaccine's effects. The FDA and CDC would not even speak to Maddy's parents. They tried to convince them Maddy was crazy. There is no possible conclusion except that the vaccines were developed in bad faith, and the authorities - including any doctors who promoted the vaccines - cannot be trusted. Be in no doubt that they will kill your children if it suits them. Never forget, never forgive. https://fullmeasure.news/newest-videos/vaccine-trials

Its true, but i don't see why its inconvenient.

These people would rather their children are crippled than think about anything or make any decisions for themselves.

Just like everything else, they will look for other people to decide for them about bitcoin, and to hold it for them.

If they're lucky then something like fedimint will mean they end up, through the hard work of others, trusting some institution that is actually trustworthy.

amazing to me how people can bend their minds to ignore these simple facts.

its far worse than apartheid in SA, which would be regarded as an abomination

are there already on #nostr different kind of content/use cases then microblogging ?

Like different shaped client for pictures, forum, videos, streaming..

sattelite.earth is a reddit clone. one day it will kill the cesspit of censorship that reddit.com has become

sooner or later every existing social network model will be cloned (and the censored version killed) - but the really interesting stuff will be when ppl make their own models

already primal.net is better than twitter - eg with the global / tribal network views in 'explore'

if nostr doesn't start teeming with child porn it's not working, it's a dead end

obviously the only solution is to choose what you see for yourself

The Three Body Problem trilogy by Cixin Liu is the best SF I have read by far.

Its slightly slow starting and not so easy to get into as the characters are chinese, but just magnificent.

Also fantastic, off the top of my head:

Rendezvous with Rama - Arthur C Clarke

Anathem - Neil Stephenson

Dogs of War - Adrian Tchaikowsky

Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikowsky

I think it is becoming possible to argue objectively that there has been a stagnation or cessation of cultural development - actually more obviously in music than film, but it's the same thing I think.

I was at a bar recently and noticed them playing "show me love" by robin s, a dance tune released in 1990. What struck me was that it did not stand out at all from the rest of the music being played - it wasn't any sort of golden-oldie.

That track was released 33 years ago. If you had done the same in 1990 you'd be playing a tune from 1957 - which would be inconceivable to happen without it being some sort of novelty or stunt. Almost all the development of modern music happened in that time - and I would argue that essentially zero further development happened since. In 1990 we had everything we see now - all the main genres and even subgenres of dance, electronic, hip hop, indie. There have been no more than minor variations.

For me reddit was the best thing on the internet for many years - it showed what could happen if people around the world could meet and get on together in freedom.

I really felt the loss when it was destroyed by censorship - and the idea of using even the subreddits I'm not banned from kind of disgusts me.

Well guess what reddit is back and now it will be free FOREVER.

Nostr is everything the internet could have been I am incredibly bullish

I have a fundamental conviction that film this century is basically worthless - change my mind!

I think a lot of it is that I feel mainstream tastes have gone to absolute shit and the film industry has become a sausage machine, so I don't trust reviews or success metrics..

..so I basically only ever watch films from 20th century, usually which I have seen before.

I love film - please give me hope that cinema is not dead by posting examples of great cinema from this century.

Thanks in advance!
