Masks don't stop respiratory viruses come on man its 2023.
If they were actually "kind and don't want you to become sick as well" they would STAY FUCKING HOME
(which is of course one of the many ways masks are actually harmful - they encourage people to go out shopping even if they are sick, or if they need to avoid getting sick, because they believe masks will protect them but they really, really don't)

It's not gonna stop the scratching tho, it'll just be you not the door
just as bitcoin is the money of last resort, which you use when you can't use anything else, nostr is the social network of last resort - where people will go when they are inevitably banned or censored everywhere else
there is no alternative!
actually try
primal.net/explore/global/latest
or
primal.net/explore/network/latest
their relays (i gather) give a totally different nostr experience
I see completely different global feeds on different clients.
In particular, on amethyst it's mainly bitcoiners i follow anyway. No offense but it is a bit boring.
But primal.net/explore/global/latest is wild and free. Lot of hentai.
Is it different relays or something?
Halfway through the third book of "Three Body Problem" and I'm already getting anxiety from the prospect of finishing the book. Insane saga, it gets even better after the second half of the second book (thanks nostr:npub1emdtsxly9m68m00x206t574jttp65vk0c2m89ms038q047yz7ylqcac9awfor the tip).
What epic science riction do you recommend for me next? The heavier the science, the better!
Gonna follow this post because I have never read any SF so good, and I've read quite a lot.
Off the top of my head the thing I find most similar is "Anathem" by Neal Stephenson.
But there is also a Cixin Liu short story compliation, "The Wandering Earth" to keep yourself going for a little while - they're just as good.
i recommend to continue!
Patience! All nostr has to do is exist, it's blindingly obvious that it's the future of everything 😃
I already find enough content that I am here because I want to - and it's not bitcoin content.
I stay here for the non-bitcoin content, and its clear to me others do - so honestly i think it's happening.
If you try browsing eg latest for Network on primal.net/explore, to me it seems there is a ton of content and discussion unrelated to bitcoin. Or global.
It tends to be generally "awake" - ie nonconformist etc - but not really much centered on bitcoin.
Yes. To me the most important material objective of life is to reduce my dependence on / exposure to the dangerous insanity of normies.
As long as there are enough of us who are awake to this stuff we ultimately don't have to care how much the normies get rugged / wreck their health / lock themselves up.
A lot of that vision depends on bitcoin/nostr specifically - and the possibility of building a free world that is genuinely resistant to the normie/zombie universe, and which will in time supercede it. I would be completely despairing at this point otherwise.
haha me too
i feel about nostr how i felt when i first discovered reddit
that was pretty amazing for a while before the jackboots killed it
it is incredible to think now that they can never take this freedom away from us again
