I absolutely like your original logo: it has personality and distance itself from the easy design trends, then I find it really memorable. I appreciate the fact that a logo should not necessary explain everything, let the user immagine.

You are right, maybe the lines could be a little, just a little, thicker. And at the same time I would lighten the "coracle" text to equilibrate the two elements.

A friend told me he shared Coracle the other day and had to cringe at my logo. I personally like it, but the line weight is a bit of a problem — it doesn't scale well either up or down, and isn't either clearly the letter C or an image of anything.

I spent some time on midjourney trying to get it to spit out an improvement. It came up with some interesting ideas, but I'm not sure I really like any of them.

I want to avoid some sterile crap like is currently the trend in logo design. I like the wave/coracle idea I currently have and mostly want a better execution, but if there's a lot of feedback that some other idea is an improvement, I'm open to changing.

More fun in the Fediverse: last weekend, two admins had a disagreement & defederated their servers. They then resolved their differences and refederated.

Only problem is, all follows across those two servers were broken and people now need to recreate them manually. And depending on whether or not they were following the drama, they may not even know it happened.

If there is no national tax base to take over then there is no nation to defend. If people can defend themselves from domestic taxation then they can defend themselves from foreigners who want to tax them too.

The govt as an organization is nothing but a manifestation of the tragedy of the commons. Everyone just tries to get what they can, while they can, without putting in any work. It's people seeking to become a parasitic authority as a source of wealth rather than working to create value for others.

The divide between good & evil is the prioritization of the pursuit of truth vs the prioritization of the pursuit of status & power. It's not a coincidence that God in human form was a man who spoke truth to men of arbitrary political authority & was killed for it. I'm quite certain that a large part of the point (no matter how few people choose to see it today) is that men in govt, clinging to status & power, will destroy the truth & kill God to maintain it. God or reality or the universe (or whatever label people prefer) wants people to see that force funded institutions are evil, & the cycle will repeat until we learn.
