This is incorrect and you’re misunderstanding the setup, Tom.
The main reason why myself and nostr:nprofile1qqsp3fl3q529z7regj7nsvl97sczyx62sq6qzp6fzwvl8thqh0z3cfqgwsd3p prefer this option currently is:
1. Security
2. Simplicity and good onboarding UX for merchants. Also for those that have little understanding or knowledge of Bitcoin.
With regard to the security, no freedom money is stored on the actual Bitcoinize payment terminal.
If the payment terminal is stolen, no freedom money is lost.
Swiss Bitcoin Pay is an application that immediately send all funds to an LN-address (or onchain address if preferred).
In this business case, all funds are sent to the business preferred LN-address.
