Not just a right, but a duty; and most of us are not doing our share.

Generalists survive rapid ecological change better than specialists. We three invasive species are generalists, opportunistic, and occupy a wide variety of biomes. We also CAUSE rapid ecological change that we then adapt to, quicker than older inhabitants.

Our survival may not be a good thing from other species PoV...

True enough.

But it DOES mean Bitcoins fair value is harder to price, and is more exposed to the winds of mass psychology than other media of exchange / stores of value.

If people use a currency to buy bread, or pay off uniformed thugs threatening to seize their homes, then demand for that currency is inelastic and cannot fall too close to zero for long.

#monero has extreme price stability in commodities / fiat compared to Bitcoin, even though total adoption and market cap is much lower.

I had a client try exactly that about a year ago. He decided to do something else, but its all in the marketing, you could succeed.

I'd suggest you need a direct line to local people who are into gardening (FB? Instagram?), a good, flexible, low-cost system for packaging and delivery, and a lot of patience.

I'm sorry, man.

Family can be... difficult.

EMP only a problem for long wires or close range. Even unhardened electronics can handle more ionising radiation than a human body.

My fears are condensation, dust, or flat batteries at the moment I really need it.

I have a Netgear router that is an absolute rockstar.

The original firmware was slow and horribly buggy, but I quickly re-flashed it with https://www.OpenWrt.org

Which isn't to say OpenWRT never screws up, but its #FOSS and straight-up #linux so I can always fix a broken service myself, or use an alternative package.

Proprietary firmware you're just SOL without an enterprise grade support contract...

Scale. Cost per employee. Diversity of rackets.

And.... I'm all out of ideas already.

"And, indeed, what is the State anyway but organized banditry? What is taxation but theft on a gigantic, unchecked, scale? What is war but mass murder on a scale impossible by private police forces? What is conscription but mass enslavement? Can anyone envision a private police force getting away with a tiny fraction of what States get away with, and do habitually, year after year, century after century?"

I'm sure there must be an honest reason why the Netanyahu government refuses to allow Israeli doctors to assist the UN in investigating alleged Hamas crimes.

Just like there must be an honest reason why no dna or other forensics was done on the bodies of Israelis allegedly raped by Hamas militia (they were buried hastily instead).

And why other recycled atrocity pamphlets like pregnant women cut open and babies beheaded lack even basic supporting evidence.

Like names.

To quote The Simpsons:

Pakistan's post-coup government is wildly unpopular with all the Pakistanis I know here, mostly for its open ties to the CIA. Don't imagine that goes down any better at home. Given the political situation, Pakistan's military might capture Zahedan only to lose Karachi and Islamabad.

And the Baloch Islamists who were hit are at best frenemies of Pakistan's military, and then only as long as they're being paid.

Nothing will happen. It will be forgotten in a month.

I have a late-model Mazda SUV, a blasphemy against the Machine God.

Fat, white, opinionated and nagging. I named her "Karen".

She's about as smart as my wrist-watch, but she thinks she can drive better than me - slams on the brakes if there's an overhanging leaf behind me when reversing, flashes up "BRAKE" on the OSD if I'm heading towards an object, beeps incessently (NO KAREN, that's a map not a passenger).

Thinking about nominating her for Parliament...

I am a new convert to UV-cured glues!

Headlight cover on my (very old) Mercedes came off, revealing the previous owner had glued it together with a polyurethane foam at some point, but it hadn't bonded well to the cover. Like, at all. Cover must have been basically sitting there, held by dust and ennui. Lucky I rarely drive it.

Looked up the cost of a new unit, and quickly closed the tabs in horror. The downside of owning an old Mercedes is the cost of parts!

But ten dollars and a visit to temu dot com marketplace got me a bottle of mysterious Chinese UV-cure resin. Scuffed the headlight cover edges with sandpaper first. Dead-simple to apply the resin (did it near dusk to avoid UV). Taped it on, waited for the sun to come up.

Its bonded now so strongly I can shake the car with it!
