You sure it’s not just a $29k stablecoin?
he only promised the dollar would hold its value for one day
On the flip side, movies make the dreams of others more accessible to us
Once you grok bitcoin there is no going back. Returning to fiat would be accepting a much less hopeful version of the future. One where we stay enslaved. Absolutely not going to happen on my end. Keep stacking. Hodl.
Yeah I don’t want to give the impression that I’m all doom and gloom. But it’s pretty clear that in the near future the majority of people will seek “yield” in the existing decaying monetary system rather than switching to a new one.
It’s so depressing that btc adoption is not widespread in Argentina. Gives me less hope for the project.
OG Bitcoiners are still human and greed is a powerful force
It’s hard enough to make a case that we need drivechains. But it’s even harder to make a case that we need drivechains NOW. I say punt and revisit in 5-10 years. There is nowhere near consensus on this so I’m not worried.
Every bull. Dance on their graves.
Egypt needed dollar loans from the IMF to keep their part of the global dollar debt ponzi going. Everything gets restructured, refinanced, and larger, constantly.
Before giving the loan, the IMF makes the country devalue the currency to make labor cheaper and try to improve the export/import balance. And the IMF makes them do other top-down economic reforms that comply with their vision of how economics works, which generally caters to the US and Europe.

I see. So they keep Egypt enslaved with dollar-denominated debt that is ever-harder to pay back. Egypt basically can’t import anything and has to restructure its economy to provide consumable goods for Europe/US to pay down the debt. Prevents them from developing a local capital base. Clever.
got to do something with all that 🌽. distribution is healthy.
I think if you choose to have kids you owe them something
Not even your parents? Your wife? Your children?
It’s funny. I feel like btc is more beat down now than at the bottom. The crash was dramatic and engaging. Now it’s just the doldrums. Not much new adoption and completely off the radar of the general population. Intellectually I know there are a lot of positive developments happening under the surface. But the feeling of defeat is personally the strongest for me now. I guess that is what they call time-based capitulation. Except I’m not capitulating.
