With a thirty year mortgage? Just have your first kid at 55? Thirty percent of generation Z live with their parents, not because they want to. Low wages, corporate avarice, and inflation are killing the American dream.
I have to say here that living off of the land is a hell of a lot more difficult than most people think it is, and frankly you still need income or the taxes will force you into foreclosure. I live off grid, 800 AH LiFePO4 and 5800W but the investment for that privilege was 30k alone, and it’s still not enough power for a normal lifestyle. Animal husbandry is a full time job, growing food crops is complicated by pests, it’s easy to lose an entire year to voles, gophers, mice, aphids, fungus, predators, and the list goes on. Cheap land is usually cheap for some really good reasons. #homesteading
Good to hear, we have to draw the line somewhere. Bring back the guillotine!
I have a set like that, but I bolstered the palm side with hockey tape, in use it’s pretty hard on the bones and tendons in your hand. Who needs carpel tunnel after knocking someone’s teeth out? Lol. 😁
Make it so, probably no established threshold for proficiency…or just stay helpless, complaining, and afraid. It is illegal to carry concealed where I live, and the gun I carry is illegal where I live. I refuse to be any of the aforementioned things, or watch myself or my family become victims of senseless violence. Legal thresholds dampen impetuous actions, and that is good, but bottom line, stand up for what you see as necessity.
Two windows, one high, one low. Convection, heat rises because of lower density.
Buy a sword. Seriously. Any kind of long blade is formidable. What, I’m a collector!
Yes, I’d actually prefer everyone have guns registered to them, but when the regulations make it impossible I suppose printing is the option. I think registration doesn’t necessarily weaken 2A and brings an important use culpability aspect to ownership.
Many people consider money to be a shared delusion. In this way of thinking, a society can pick anything it wants as money, as long as most of its members believe in it. Paperclips could be money, for example, if we all agree that they are. While this seems true at first, it's not sustainable. If the supply of that money can be rapidly expanded, then everyone's savings can be rapidly diluted. And a monetary premium provides a lot of incentive for people to make more of it, if possible. Therefore, if a money is not selected wisely within a society, it only takes a small number of individuals to break free from their society's shared delusion to realize that its money isn't scarce, and make a lot more of it to extract value from everyone else. Alternatively, people from a different society can exploit that society's shared delusion. Therefore, the only types of money that can maintain usage in a society for a long period of time are ones with a significant degree of genuine scarcity to them.

This is why, I believe, that monetary units prior to the age of manufacturing were scarce found items like specific sea shells.
Sharpening my combat knives and cutting X patterns in all my FMJ ammo down in my fallout shelter, or sipping coffee with my PB&J and sketchbook. Lol. ❤️
This is exactly right. Insulin for type II diabetes. Awful.
Well, I learned that the thickness of the asada slices are critical, too thin is ok, too thick and it gets chewy quick. I think about 4mm thickness is perfect, and a coal bed hot enough to bring the marinade to instant flame. I like the 24 hour marinade with lime juice, but with asada grade meat the lime won’t make it tender. Anyone have tips or tricks? #carneasada
That is a truly beautiful gin. I think I’ll have to try it.
RAID 5, Veracrypt the entire /devmdX volume. RAID 10 if you need blazing speed. Either has the necessary redundancy.
I’m not sure I’m ready to jump on a video call, I’ll be happy to write up responses via email though. Does that work for you?
That’s sublime. I’m marinating carne asada tonight. I hope for the same outcome, tomorrow, hot oak and hopefully, goodness.
