Hung out with my brother and made our first batch of biochar yesterday. Ended up with over 7 cubic feet which is over $200 if you buy it from home depot. I took a small amount and put it in these burlap coffee bags I got for free and made a filter for a pond I have. The hypothesis there is to steal nutrients that is feeding the duckweed problem and passively charge the biochar for usage next year.

Feed that duckweed to the pigs! Look up the nutrient profile, it’s awesome.
Nah. Psychopathy often is a scab covering wounds. I think emotions are likely the truest practice of humanity itself, truth is often brutal and ugly, but in time, the only way to proceed after all other paths are exhausted.
Piggies getting a snack of biochar and black walnuts. Love to hear that crunch.

Look at those wattles!
Love is probably the result of an entourage of hormone presence and concentration. I think of emotions as the music a symphony makes and the hormones involved as the instruments. Each alone is unique, but none alone can produce the awe inspiring presentation of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. The music scores are literally the recipe giving the instrument, the note, the volume, the nuance. The outcome is outrageously complex, as are our emotions.
Saving when young is like starting a snowball rolling down a snow covered mountain. Start as early as possible and never miss a payment on the purchase of your freedom, freedom and age will arrive more quickly than you expect.
Love it. 💯. I thought of the parity between endlessly greedy swine politicians and their overlords, I want to see if our friend here comes up with that solution or another one. 😉
The problem is either patent, which boils down to who has a better and longer standing legal team, or scale. Either way the corporate interests have the small genius innovation contingent beat.
I’m interested to hear what strategy you would use to prevail in convincing an elite class of people with control over 95% of the wealth and 100% of the policy and governing power that they should share anything with you?
A near perfect parasol mushroom to start your day! Maybe it’s a tasty pine bolete.
Rest assured that giant pharmaceutical corporations will. 😏
When I was younger I tried mightily to overcome vertigo so I could fly helicopters. Unfortunately I was sick every single time. I think the inner ear sensitivity has served me well operating heavy machinery, but when the visual perception doesn’t match the sense of motion in my head, immediate flight response kicks in and evacuation ensues. I plan to attempt a short cruise soon. Hopefully I can do it without Dramamine or spending all my time below! I love following you and living it vicariously though. Maybe one day. PV.
Pendleton wool blankets are amazing. One as a sheet, two as covers, and winter is more enjoyable. Now I just need an espresso machine within reach of my bed. I feel guilty for being such a baby, it doesn’t even really get cold here in the winter, what a spoiled brat I am. #coffeestr #gm #wool
Beautiful.
It’s like a floating homestead! These pictures make me wish I didn’t get seasick so easily. What a lifestyle. 🤘🏻

Modern diesel engines with SCR technology are amazingly clean running. The source of the hydrocarbons they consume is a much more relevant issue, and renewable fuels are available. Zero emission heavy transport is not scalable currently even if the technology exists. Of course I’m not saying society shouldn’t try to make things better in the genre, but these mandates are likely more about lining corporate pockets than actually making our air better. #diesel #renewables #globalwarming
I’ve almost drowned in the sea myself. My rules hence are no big waves, rocks, or scuba below 10 meters. I’m still somewhat terrified of some sea life, but the beauty of the coral reefs is worth the risk. #ocean #scuba #coralreef
Yes. I think this is a fundamental problem and probably rebellion against unrelenting and unreasonable fascist rule will be the only remedy unfortunately. If the governance is wise they will stop just short of oppression that results in revolt. People will suffer for ages under draconian rule as long as subsistence is reasonably tenable.
Thank you, nostr:npub14eng8plhflea40cu3lafnw6nwkxsp5te2v7hzy74lz6a9mjhpaks0wm4rw. Your response was incredibly thought out and articulate. Unfortunately, I agree with you here (your intent was to follow those you might disagree with). I may position something else. Perhaps existence has always been and always will be, just that, humans have an experience unique to the combination of ingredients. Perhaps the same can be true of things unseen, the ether, or dimensions, those things humans in their current form have yet to discover. When somone passes on, their experience can be uploaded as a part of the knowledgebase, yet their disintermediated constituent ingredients go onto to share the experience of contributing to humanity, say the carbon atom community. Now all of carbon, understands their part in the human experience. Maybe, our experience as humans splinters? I believe there are many ideas to explore here. The point is, at least for me, I do not fear death or judgement and I have no god. I'm curious, with the full knowledge I can never attain omniscience. As long as something is having an experience, there can be no such thing- IMO.
I appreciate this, and I find comfort in our agreement on this. I look forward to the discussions that will follow when you position another topic. These conversations hone our understanding, slowly polishing away falsehood until only fundamental truths remain, even if those truths can’t be explained in a proficient way by anyone yet.
Well, here is my take.
Mortality, the cessation of existence as we experience it is frightening to most people.
Transhumanism is largely a reaction to the fear of mortality, and religions in general have capitalized on this fundamental human attribute.
While science has not captured and defined the essence of human consciousness, or the essence of living versus dead tissue for that matter, that detail does not preclude the possibility of one day possessing that understanding and matters that defy explanation have always occupied the domain of mystical and magical matters to human culture.
It may be that there is an ether involved in the human existence, my postulate is that we are temporal eddies in a large flow of riverlike strings of collated energy, consisting of all past existent life. There are events, talents, and wisdom that are impossible to explain with the current tools of understanding. It is possible that biochemistry and hormones operating in some enormously complex symphony of interaction relative to time create these attributes and that one day we will quantify and be able to emulate these occurrences, however that day is not today, and for now, I prefer to consider this the incomprehensible magic of the human form. Each new life posses some varying degree of previously experienced life, either through some novel cosmic string amalgamation, or through the mechanisms of incomprehensibly complex interplay of biochemistry, either way, experience through shared time is the only way to participate in, and know the potential within.
Accept your own death willingly, for it is nothing but your experiential contribution to future generations composed of the infinitesimally small fragmented pieces of our existence.
