Big News!

nostr:npub1kfkh3cphz2hwkq44d79qx4f4xcma3amn7yypelq7mrl7rr4ykyfsq4sd28 turned her 2016 Macbook Pro into a dual-boot system running MX Linix today!

When interviewed, she was quoted as saying, "All in all, it wasn't too bad. Sure, there were plenty of issues to hurdle, but my guide made sure the quest was complete."* When pressed for more details, she replied, "I'm going to take a nap. Don't you folks have something better to report on?"* As you can see, the rejection to Big Tech by the masses is gaining momentum. Weather is next, after a message from our sponsor.

*Based on a true storyΒ±

Β±The term 'story' in this case is subjective**

Yes, nice and cool! The noise only bothers me when I'm worried it will disturb my sleeping spouse, otherwise I seldom notice it any more.

I just made my first board today to begin the migration from pinterest (that's going to be a long task, manually entering each page url, description, and image url πŸ˜†). BUT it has no pins in it yet because the "add pin" button was broken for me. I submitted the issue through github, and hopefully will be able to use pinstr soon.

Oh, I definitely don't trust the mainstream "health" narrative AT ALL. Never said I did, nor that I ascribe to their food pyramid. I do not. Perhaps you'd be interested in an actual discussion?

I am currently reading "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" by Weston A Price. Wonderful, fascinating read! It is infuriating, really, that we've had this detailed study available for nearly a hundred years and it has been ignored by health professionals etc. I guess that's corporatocracy at work.

For my part, I will continue to study and experiment, and seek to be the healthiest I can be.

All interesting!

I wasn't thinking of an "essential" carb, more of the fact that our bodies require glucose to function properly. I realize we make glucose from protein at need, but in reading some carnivore diet experiences I did come across things such as being so low carb they were unable to sleep through the night.

For nutrients, I was thinking of flavonoids and fibers πŸ€”

I don't say that being an "omnivore" means you eat absolutely anything edible in your vicinity. Of course there are specialized diets. And, yes, I'm aware of gorillas eating bugs, and white-tailed deer eating baby birds etc etc.

Anyway, interesting discussion, I plan to research more.

I hope you find the answer to your vitamin c puzzle!

But, humans aren't carnivores, we're omnivores. Agreed most of our modern diets include way too much sugar and are otherwise imbalanced.

We need the carbs (and many other nutrients) in whole fruits and vegetables.

You can also make it into tincture or add to soup, easier to get down than tea you dislike. Roasted dandelion root has the same effect and is much tastier.

Glass jars, dark cupboard. Decant into dark bottles with droppers as needed.

I am using leaves and roots. I will mince the roots to expose more of the tough material to alcohol. Room temp, 6-8 weeks (longer won't hurt anything).

I have some experience making tinctures. I'll be making some dandelion tincture in the next week or so :) I will use 80 proof vodka and fresh plant material.
