hey #nostr I want to shout out to the nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 team for creating the slickest iOS nostr app I’ve tried so far. Looked at web clients and other apps, but Damus makes sense to me, I don’t know, I can find everything easily, so I keep coming back. I’m loving how this protocol enables app makers to create their own flow and vibe around the available data out there, and make something for everyone. For anyone who was using Apollo on Reddit, this is even better, and of course I’d be excited about an Apollo-type nostr app to serve the Reddit-brain, something to equal the unparalleled way that the Reddit model lets you quickly view things by category (subreddit), then choose your sorting method: popular, new, etc. Hashtags aren’t as capable for when you’re zeroing in on a topic, unless I’m missing something. Now we need the crowds, so my NYR is to purple pill at least one person a month in 2025. I’m going to try to get Christian Selig over here, if he’s not already, and suggest he create Apollostr. I uninstalled and reinstalled #damus and my bookmarks disappeared. I had assumed they were saved in my profile like other things somewhere out there. So, bookmarks aren’t portable or saved with your profile like photo and lightning address are? #asknostr

I think the no-delete feature inspires care when creating notes. It makes me think thrice and I appreciate it. I believe it does lead to more thoughtful engagement, and the trolls who don’t regret anything they say will lose interest in nostr because of non-engagement with their bs. The key to success for nostr is to continue to do what everyone tried to tell people to do on traditional social media forever: DON’T FEED THE TROLLS. Nostr gets this better than anywhere else
