I’ve been using DDWRT for router software, but it’s difficult to find the latest stable build. Anybody got tips/prefer other software for routers?
Server software:
I have the hardware for a good quality server. Tried running it with nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll but my dual hdd isn’t supported yet. So looking to use some Linux build. Anybody got good experience / tips for that?

With Proton's plans to build a Whirlpool client, it seems obvious that their decision on whether or not to follow through will hinge on the outcome of the Samourai Wallet trial – But the Tornado Cash trial is arguably much more important to Proton's potential coinjoin plans.
Samourai Wallet stands accused of conspiracy to money laundering – in part thanks to their rather entertaining Twitter posts – and conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money service business – mainly pertaining to the operation of the Whirlpool coinjoin coordinator.
This should effectively only minimally influence Proton's decision on whether or not to build a Whirlpool client, as a client and a coordinator are technically different things, and obviously you can't just be arrested for writing a user interface... or can you?
One of the main arguments made in the Tornado Cash trial is that TC maintained a User Interface that enabled people to access the Tornado Cash protocol. In the Tornado Cash trial, the prosecution is deliberately attempting to equate control over a UI to control over the software itself, trying to paint the development of UIs for privacy software as a conspiracy to commit multiple alleged felonies.
These allegations stem directly from FATF recommendations, which attempt to classify anyone as a money transmitter who is "a central party with some measure of involvement of control," such as "developing user interfaces for accounts holding an administrative "key".
If Roman Storm and Roman Semenov are found guilty of conspiracy to money laundering, conspiracy to operate an unlicensed MSB, and conspiracy to commit sanctions violations in the US on the basis of the prosecution's claims, then *anyone* building user interfaces for self-custodial privacy software could be next – including Proton if a Whirlpool client is built.

We're following semantic versioning which allows for a beta tag after the version numbers. For the nostr:npub13dk3dke4zm9vdkucm7f6vv7vhqgkevgg3gju9kr2wzumz7nrykdq0dgnvc team this beta tag just means we've nailed down the API but still want to iterate on some releases to add more docs, tutorials, testing, get beta user feedback and all that before calling it the full final 1.0.0 version.
