I would argue it is almost impossible to manipulate and/or supress the price. The reality is that Bitcoin is the most liquid asset which means it will react almost immediately to both good and bad news

Saying "Europe is a totalitarian state" is a bit over the top imo, there are still plenty of options that offer Lightning.

But I do agree Kraken has gone from great to a trash exchange. Before removing Lightning they changed partner in Germany which basically meant redoing an even crazier KYC to be able to continue trading.

I tried to delete my account but they just ignored the request so right now it's just living there, like a ghost.

Volatility is a feature. It's the extra advantage we plebs have against folks from Wall Street and the old fiat world

Mexican living in Germany since almost 10 years. I wouldn't say they love following rules, it's more about pragmatism and efficiency.

Germans hate chaos and love efficiency (see german cars). My two cents is that they suppose there's a reason why rules exist and know that as long as they follow them chaos will be kept to a minimum degree.

Go ahead and support your local dev by trying out the first prediction market on the Lighting Network ⚡: https://beta.predyx.com/. It's like polymarket but without the USDC shitcoinery.
