Choosing your relays is not an easy thing. Not too many to not stress my client and not too few so that I donโ€™t miss out or lose connections.

It would be nice if I could group my subscriptions in the client (Damus). For example nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl runs her own relay. Why ask other relays for her notes?

Also I really donโ€™t know where my stuff is now. This note will not go to nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch's 140 chars relay for example.

Itโ€™s all a bit fuzzy. An own relay and an own client would solve that, right? Damn, thatโ€™s a lot of work.

"Damn, that's a lot of work"

Whenever something is convenient, it probably is centralised.

Centralisation LOVES convenience.

Who here lives under UK jurisdiction?

How about:

* nostr-damus.com

* dam-us.com

* thedamus.com

* thydamus.com ๐Ÿ˜‰

put it up for suggestions and votes on nostr?

Analyzing the 2013 Bitcoin fork | 21ideas

On March 11, 2013, Bitcoin experienced a technical crisis. Versions 0.7 and 0.8 of the software diverged from each other in behavior due to a bug, causing the block chain to โ€œforkโ€ into two. Considering how catastrophic a hard fork can be, the crisis was resolved quickly with remarkably little damage owing to the exemplary competence of the developers in charge. The event gives us a never-before-never-again look into Bitcoinโ€™s inner workings.

This surely isn't the right solution for this problem.

We have lots of great charities and non-profits. Their prices and their general costs are coming up.

They need money and we need KYC-free bitcoin.

Can we make it happen or is it too hard to attain?

Lets just say it was boring. And in the words of Glenn Greenwald "you can take the man out of CNN, but can never take the CNN out of the man."

But ultimately it was boring and a waste of opportunity and our time. Can't be much more CNN than that.

Stay hard!
