UBI may be well intended, but the reality is that it would just accelerate the issues it tries to solve. You’ll just add more money chasing the same amount of product.
Even worse, the politicians pushing for it are the same ones that demonize meat and petroleum, tell us the world is overpopulated, and don’t want you to use a combustion engine.
You may want to help the poor, but making them dependent on the bureaucrats above is sentencing them to death.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Both are theft. Voluntarism and a hard money supply are the only real solutions imo.
We’ve seen what happens over the last 3 years when you flood the system with money. UBI would just destroy the incentive to work entry level positions or in the service industry (see restaurants last 3 years with 2 servers covering 30 tables). Yes, those jobs might suck, but if we didn’t inflate away low wage positions, they would make livable wages.
That being said, I’m for UBI at this point and accelerationism because that’s not my currency of choice.
How fast do you think we would get back to current debt levels if we have a complete debt jubilee next year?

The biggest thing that I think will make people cave into digital slavery is travel. Airlines are already government owned after 2020 and will require it (pretty much already do).
The amount of people I know that injected themselves “just to travel” is really, really sad. A “digital wallet” will be nothing for those people.
