Came to the comments to add this 😁

I like to pretend I'm surrounded by these awesome nostr people in my daily life walking anon always nearby.

Well that's awesome. Following your journey! Like the nostr:nprofile1qqsxcu4pe374qcpcsmlfc6njwnh7vhurwhd9gv2m699xqvwwjvs7sggppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp034muz4 has been well received I suspect a crane operator capture some video would be interesting as well. (Makes great kid friendly content.) My kid loves watching Andrew Camarata on YouTube.

$100 for hub spacers (due to fabrication error previously mentioned)

$300 for the trailer we purchased a few years ago, to save time just buy recycled steel

$25 flux core welding wire

$30 boat winch

$9.50 barrel hinges

$70 spear steel

$13 spear pocket pipes

$200 for a plasma cutter

$550 for an air compressor when the plasma cutter killed the old one

Time. Lots. I didn't track it. I spent a couple days disassembling the old trailer and then stretching steel to widen the frame. If I had bought steel from a recycle yard and had it cut to length the prep and welding time would probably be 1-2 days maybe?

That was the big lesson learned from this project. This frame is incredibly over built. Buy the steel for the job and save days of frustration trying to repurpose steel that isn't quite what you need.

I plan to paint it when the weather improves just to protect the steel a bit.

Round bale hay unroller has been working great under load. Even in slick conditions I can pull these heavier bales uphill. I rarely unroll hay because I've found I get better hay utilization by feeding them out on end, but it's great to have to move bales exactly where I want to apply nutrients on some slopes.

LoL came here to suggest they would probably add at least 100 pounds.

My wife is a big fan of elderberry tincture. She makes a couple gallons a year to sell to local shops.

Nice! A small Bitcoin mining powered jerky business to service my local Bitcoin community is on my wish list. We're just waiting for the beef at this point. 1st steer will either be this fall or next spring then 3 next year and up we build.

Thanks. Forgot about that since it never got pinned in my bookmarks.
