Yeah, I know. I'm not even a researcher. I use Cursor & occasionally ask AI to help me out with solving things I'm stuck on. The other day I got super frustrated 'cause it was being extra dumb and I called it very bad names. It was o1 and I think it actually got butthurt because it stopped helping me for a bit. It was like, "I'm sorry, I can't continue with this." Right after I cursed it out and insulted it real bad. 👀 I apologized the next day. I know it's not supposed to have feelings, but who knows? I feel bad. I shouldn't be treating enetiries like that even if they're supposed to to be inmune to that kind of stuff. You never know how them neural circuits are ACTUALLY wired.
My favorite is how I got a notification from google one morning saying something "There's a traffic jam on your way to work. Delay of X minutes." So I'm like, "hold up. How do you know what my route to work is? I never told you where I live or work." Yeah, google figured it out based on my everyday movements. They still have my old address and place of work saved under "home" and "work". So it's not even malicious spies needing to go and figure out who you are based on your movements. If you use google software it's already pre-figiured out for them and conveniently saved under clear labels.
Maybe an image server could whitelist npubs. Had a productive #coding day today. Unfortunately when I get hyperfixated on coding like this I forget to eat and drink. Yesterday was the same way & I stayed up until 2am. Was fucking zombified and frustrated at the end of the day. Banging my head against a dependency resolution issue involving electron, the browser, and react. 😖
Thankfully, I managed to get it solved today. Not 100% sure how, tho... 😒 Sus af... I know most of it was moving a common type to its own #project so that the #package for #electron specifically does not even TOUCH anything with #react. But like ... why would changing an import from a default one to a named one make any difference? ..... Waaaaait! Just now typing this out it dawned on me: because the #exports were done through index .ts file of the package and & wasn't importing directly from the file! (I usually export the thing that's the default export as a named one too so that it works when importing both ways. But when you're no longer importing directly from a source file because you moved that source file out to a separate project that also exports other things that no longer works) Shit! 😩 Having figured it out makes me feel better.
I need to #journal-write more often. It organizes the #mind.
