Alby Go is to pay with your node "on the go", but where to go? nostr:nprofile1qyv8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qqsra2ey033mkdwl5w8q0jss9ak69zafh82xsuvhwsaauw3trkq2amgvvanjv answers that question by showing you nearby merchants accepting bitcoin and it's now conveniently accesible directly in your Alby Go.

Go, spend some sats!

Huge UX improvement in connecting apps on mobile!

If you're using Alby Hub, you can enable "one tap connections" for your Alby Go. That will allow Alby Go to confirm new NWC connections on your mobile without the need to go to Alby Hub and copy&paste or scan the connection secret.

Available now to all apps that use Bitcoin Connect and soon in other apps too!

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ You can now use Alby Go to pay at 2,204 Pick n Pay grocery stores in South Africa!

Integration was available thanks to nostr:nprofile1qyw8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttjv4kxz7fwwak8vuewwdcxzcm9qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnxd46zuamf0ghxy6t6qqsz85k206vm3vqdmlvcy9l4kyfqchlnf4hnctasxufa3ph0ck9decgv95m3a . At the store, just ask for a "QR" payment and scan it with Alby Go. Who's going to test it first?

๐Ÿ˜ฎ There's much more smaller fixed and improvements in those last two releases:

๐Ÿ”ƒ BTC rates now refresh every 5 minutes for up-to-date pricing

๐Ÿ Improved branding with Alby Go logos on success screens

Totally, I tihnk it's the most likely scenario. But even while he was active, it would be very difficult to not make a mistake that would eventually identify him.

Do you guys ever think about how insane it is that Satoshi has managed to stay anonymous all this time? The level of skill and discipline to not expose any definitive proof of your identity on the internet is truly incredible.

I listened to Saylor's speech at Bitcoin Policy Institute last night. While I generally like him, two things really stood out to me.

I feel like he makes massive assumptions and doesn't explain them, at times. Like he said that if the US offered a "digital" dollar, the USD market share of currency would go to 30% from about 13%. I don't see how it being more digital than it already is changes anything, so I wish he had explained.

Also, I don't see any reason why we need the dollar at all. He insists Bitcoin is not a threat to the dollar, but I completely disagree. There is absolutely no reason Bitcoin can't eventually be a widely adopted medium of exchange.

every time I see this, I have to rush to see if it was mine. Sadly, it was not ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I worry about Nostr services being built on public cloud infra, though. I know various clients use things like Cloudflare. Public clouds in the past have decided to cut off companies all together and basically shut them down.

There needs to be a similar push to decentralize internet infrastructure.

I just recently finished Chaos and that was insanely eye opening. I started Devil's Chessboard last night ๐Ÿ˜€

I listen to a lot of podcasts too ๐Ÿ˜‚ Usually when doing chores and mindless stuff. I have tried listening to audio books during this time, but I just cannot stay focused on it. For whatever reason, the back and fourth of a conversation keeps me engaged,.

Oh I totally agree and understand that. But there are soo many things I still want to learn about that I struggle to make time for to do so. And there other areas of study that I am weak in that I'd love to learn more about.

Maybe that's just part of life in general ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It's a fair question, and I do still study things that are interesting to me. Time is just very precious at this stage of my life, so I never get to go as deep as I'd like.
