I am trying to send ecash to a nostr account.
I have used a mini bits wallet to send to send ecash to a nostr account, but so far all it does is send lightning to the lightning wallet address that is registered to that nostr id.
What am it missing?

We could have an ecash mint that holds base layer bitcoin and does a regular proof of reserves.
That would be a bank that is resistent to fractional reserve.

Good point nostr:npub1c878wu04lfqcl5avfy3p5x83ndpvedaxv0dg7pxthakq3jqdyzcs2n8avm . The non-Bitcoiner people are struggling with the current density of Bitcoiners on Nostr.
The way that things are going with governments trying to censor X, may mean that we are going to get a load of X-Twitter users on the platform in the near future.
As they come on board, they will bring the diversity that Nostr needs to get to the next level. It's a chicken and egg problem, but the catalyst is happening externally of Nostr.

I like the idea that Fedi and Cashu are planning to prove reserves by orchestrating bank runs on a regular basis.
I have a question though. Do they rely upon every ecash owner within the mint moving their funds out on the same day? If so, then how will they get everyone to participate?
If the mint iteself is able to force a bank run on their customers, then do the owners of the ecash tokens really have autonomy over their own funds?

I first bought gold coins when gold was at $1000. Just after Bear Sterns went down in 2008.
Since then, we have gone from the western world being quite bankrupt, to being completely bankrupt.
Our governments have spent enormous amounts of money that they don't have on stupid wars and on a re-branding of the flu vaccine.
The BRICS countries who have been stockpiling gold for the last decade. Who can blame them?
The average person has gone from not knowing why they would ever buy gold 16 years ago, to now seeing that gold is a way to preserve value in a terrible monetary situation.
And during those 16 years, the price of gold has gone up by 2.45x. WTF???
The price of gold has not even kept up with inflation.
Where would the price be if everyone that though they owned gold, bought the physical?
Re-hypothication is real. All of the tools that the banks have been using to sell people fake gold can, and are, being used to sell people fake Bitcoin.
Self custody is the only way to own Bitcoin. If we really want the price to go up, then we need to tell everyone we know, to get off the exchanges. Don't even think about the ETFs and don't belive the numbers on the screen that the brokerages sell to us.

At first it is overwhelming and I gasp for breath and then, after a while I build a resistence to the cold.
