Are you using the cheek muscles also? We enjoy the liver also. Cut it up into strips and fry it up. Can freeze the strips on a pan laid out not touching and when froze throw in bag. Take out enough for a meal and let thaw on a plate in fridge. Take out in morning for lunch. My youngest daughter loves it. The others are indifferent.

I tried to use Alby at first based on recommendations but then got so frustrated I couldn't figure it out and then was on help call with them and still couldn't get it to work and then realized they wanted like 20 bucks a month. Then someone recommended strike and that was super easy to set up and fund but now I realize I can't be zapped less than 100 unless that person also has strike. I'm gonna just leave it for now and try to add enough value for a 100 sats zap !

Antenna configurations do vary greatly and are less critical for receive only. SDR would allow you to receive only. Might help adoption if you had a set up that would work out of the gate for the nonhams. And would motivate them to get a license. I wonder if you could do something like PSKreporter. If there is a firewall behind a country you only need to use one HF receiver to receive the data and then upload behind the "firewall" that way someone in a community only needs an SDR and then they can upload to a local Internet or meshtastic type system. I'm just spit balling ideas. I'm excited about what you are doing.

What is your plan for the physical side of this effort? What radio, computer, frequency, antenna or power source are you using now. I think it would be helpful to offer a complete "kit". If you do only what you want then people at your funeral will most likely act like that. I'm trying to have an impact in this life that will go on beyond me and be larger than me. Alright nostriches. I finally have enough done and feel comfortable to share my progress on HAMSTR.
You are about to witness perhaps the first ever(well outside of the 2,000 ones I have done testing, lol) nostr note retrieved exclusively over HF packet ham radio.
There is no Internet access on this browser at the moment at all.
It is a client - server setup. The client is fully off-grid. Only the server can connect to the internet. For this test, the server is was roughly 500 feet away using dummy loads on my radios putting out virtually zero watts. Yes, not far, but in theory it would similar at hundreds and even thousands of miles away as well.
This test pulls my most recent notes from my fake dev account following list. In this case 1 note. The number of notes is configurable, but keep in mind HF Packet Radio is SLOW. This one note takes quite a while for just tiny note from nostr:nprofile1qqsywt6ypu57lxtwj2scdwxnyrl3sry9typcstje65x7rw9a2e5nq8sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqydhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnzd96xxmmfdecxzunt9e3k7mgpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mq9hxafw. Future versions will have FM Data packets as well, but line of sight FM was not my goal. Global coverage was. HF radio is the only way for that.
Most functionality is now working, just ironing out some things and lots of bugs. Following, global, search, hash tags, npub search display names, are all basically working. Soon replies.
What started out as a project for me to use some social media and take camping and do some off-grid nostr stuff has now morphed into something that I believe will be able to help millions of people be able to bypass oppressive regimes, firewalls, tyranny, and allow them to interact with the nostr network using nothing but ham radios. This could be massive for learning, comms, and overall freedom. Could have a server running in France, and connect to it from Russia or Afghanistan for example. Easily within HF radio reach for half the world.
Much like the winlink email network, I hope people will be able to take my project and setup servers all around the world for people to access, read, write notes, send DM's, use various nostr kinds and even send Bitcoin(on chain offline transactions over HF radio and nostr coming soon).

#JS8CALL has different speed modes depending on what the user selects depending on propagation and receiver reception. Are you building something in like this? This is a pretty cool idea! I see one person on a village or town having a big HF radio constantly receiving and then pushing out on VHF/UHF to locals on a smaller mesh network with less power.
Do you have any calibrated body parts? Sounds weird but I know my pointer fingernail is 1/2 inch, first pointer finger joint is 1 inch, 2nd joint is 2 inch, finger tip to knuckle is 4 inch, extended thumb tip to pointer finger tip is 7 inches and spread thumb tip to pinky tip is 9 inches. With a combination of these between two hands I can get pretty accurate measurements pretty quickly.
Do you use any 3d printing in your shop? How do you balance shop set up and organizing time vs using time?(I've seen people spends years making the right shop set up and then never really use it) How does someone focus on achieving goals vs preparing for unstated goals. Do you clean up right after a job is done, when done for the day or just leave it where it is and wait till you need it again and then go look for it. Sorry if you covered any of this before. New to Nostr and not seen your stuff before.
