Chief user experience complainer. Head of FOMO.

That's a heartbreaking story. Someone should do something about that.

Perhaps going over the hill and far away?

I wonder if this would help.

That's great! And with your bundle solution - can we just share a link with newbies to the bundle and it will be super easy for them to install the bundle from scratch & without having zapstore installed first?

Or is it going to be more steps? (The more steps, the more annoying and less valuable the solution)

What do you mean by that? Like a device with a screen?

This is horrible. I'm just filing a police report that the three little kittens lost their mittens. It looks like they shall have no pie. I'll report back as the situation evolves.

Hey nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wsqzp382htsmu08k277ps40wqhnfm60st89h5pvjyutghq9cjasuh38q7t6dtc , I don't usually complain (*), but when sending sats from nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jqjrm2qp to Phoenix using the Phoenix BOLT12 offer code, it always fails on the first try, but then succeeds on the second.

*) I'm kidding, I complain about UX a lot. It's in my job description to do so.

If government would not enforce KYC/AML exclusionary policies, then no custodial wallet would require KYC. KYC is just extra burden that no one wants to do, it's annoying, you have to integrate with someone providing it as a package, etc.

I agree that this is circular - when you do custodial wallet, then government will kneel on you and then you have to do KYC.

Because it's built by a company owned by known people, so the government can send agents to imprison them if they don't add KYC/AML policies.

Cashu is a protocol. People can use any app/wallet they want. I don't know which specific wallet are you talking about? Just pick one that doesn't track you?

nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 is working on several ideas for app bundles, including bundles that individual apps can create to recommend to their users on an Intent call.

That would be great to have "Nostr beginner bundle" or similar on Zapstore, but it should be installable from Play Store and AppStore. Afaik Zapstore is not on those, right?

That's better, but man, you really need to get to the point in your posts much faster. It's super hard to dig out from what you wrote how to actually earn those kyc sats.

Think about it as writing a tutorial with limited space.

Something like:

# KYC Free sats for reviewing iOS code

Do you want to earn KYC free sats and are you an iOS developer?

- click here xx to create account

- click here xxx to pick up the tasks

- for each task you will get xyz-xxx sats.

and after this section maybe you can provide more background, but that doesn't really matter...

Here would be my wishlist experience for nostr newbies on mobile:

Have an easy to install a bundle of apps:

- Signer/vault: to be really simple and secure to hold my private key and sign events.

- Lightning wallet: Phoenix, Coinos or something like that

- Mobile relay & backup: ?? to backup notes and stuff privately

- Short notes client: Like Amethyst, primal or others

and optional:

- Pictures/Videos client: Olas or similar

- Music client: Wavlake or similar

- News client: Stacker News or similar

- Long form client: Habla news or similar

- Other apps: Donations with Geyser, podcasts with Fountain, etc.

And ideally the bundle would install super smoothly, like first it opens the Signer to let you create the key, it has a button to immediately import npub into the other apps. In just a couple clicks all should be done and set.

What if there would be NostrBundle app that works as an installer of these other apps. The technical side could be like Obtanium, but something that can be sneaked into AppStores. Maybe it would provide options like "Basic nostr", "Full blown nostr", etc., but the default experience should not ask many questions - for newbies this should really be a couple of button clicks and they can modify specifics later if they desire.

There also may need to be some NIPs for better communication and passing of stuff between the apps.

Or make it one click to install Phoenix from the nostr app, update zaps to support bolt12, update Phoenix to support zaps (it already does bolt12 well) and nwc 😅

Cashu x STARKs ? Spending conditions in Cairo nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg ?

Yes.

Here is a video showcasing the generation of a STARK proof of some Cashu spending conditions defined as a Cairo program, and verified by the Cashu Mint.

The STARK proof is generated using STWO.

It enables to define arbitrary Cashu spending conditions easily, in a highly expressive manner, without breaking privacy and proving mathematical guarantee on the integrity of the computation.

The spender define the spending conditions in Cairo.

The receiver generates a STARK proof that conditions are met to spend the tokens.

The Mint verifies the proof and completes the process if the proof is valid.

Are there more folks on Nostr that are posting about this kind of stuff? Specifically applications of ZK, STARKs, SNARKs, etc towards more private transactions on Bitcoin/lightning?

You will have to spread your wings a bit more. I'd try Stacker News, that will imo catch more devs.

Also your message wasn't too clear and the timing was unfortunate - the actual bounties got lost in the busy days during trump, Ross and new wave of users.
