I wish we could link directly to IPFS, with nodes acting as hosts for popular files and helping people find other files on the IPFS network. That would work with video files very well, I think.

Has anyone built a nostr app that can support the Buy Nothing groups, with gives and asks for stuff we want to give away to neighbors? Given the global reach this might be tough to narrow down the location, but I think it would be a way to draw that market into Nostr. Especially with zaps allowing people to pay for goods and services with Bitcoin.

It makes perfect sense. As soon as 1 USD = 100 Satoshis, just lock the value to Bitcoin and we're done. Eventually everyone is going to get rid of their old fiat currency anyway.

I bought my computer exactly four years ago. The warranty expired on 7/16/24, according to the email. On that day, my graphics card stopped working properly. I started looking around for new graphics cards until I noticed the warranty reminders. I just called to extend the warranty for another year. Hopefully that will allow them to help.
I hate conspiracy theories. But they are so easy to fall into. The idea that the manufacturer would send a signal to my computer on the DAY that the warranty expired so it stops working and I have to give them more money is just a mind trap, but seriously what other explanation do we need?
Like everything else, I blame Fiat. We are designing things to fail in order to keep draining money away from people, stealing our time and our energy. Maybe what we need is to start building things to last FOREVER and then paying for them in a medium of exchange that will also last forever. Give me a world where I can count on the things I buy to work. They can take their fiat world and shove it.
Nation State Governments are soooooo 20th century. I really wish we could move on.
In the meantime, governments need to focus their attention on fiscal policy, balancing their budgets, and mostly getting out of people's way as we all try to live our best lives. Governments have no say in base level monetary policy, that needs to be global with a secure foundation in a fixed global reserve asset that was invented in 2008.
I use isidewith.com to determine which candidate is closest to my issue positions. I'm not a single issue voter, especially with Bitcoin because I know the US Dollar is collapsing no matter what and I know Bitcoin will win no matter what. It's the rest of the issues that matter to me.

It's a different Lightning Network, so a small fee to push from Strike/Primal to Alby does make sense. There should be a way to get notified about it so you can adjust your payment and send exactly what you need to and intend to the final destination wallet, though.

One morning I woke up to an unsettling email from my distribuor, "We've been notified by Spotify that they've removed your release due to artificial streaming: 'Never Knew'...We haven't been given any additional information...and have no way to help or appeal Spotify's decision. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused..."
I quickly opened Spotify and sure enough my single "Never Knew" was gone - No clear path for appeal nor an explanation as to what playlist was the culprit.
As an independent artist, I have to use third party playlist curators to promote releases on major streaming platforms. I've only used SubmitHub and Groover, which are supposed to be sanctioned by Spotify because I submit songs for consideration Not for guaranteed placement - spending money just to be heard. But that effort has gotten my music taken down without any information to avoid a possible infringement on these veiled guidelines in the future. I am fortunate that "Never Knew" was also featured on my EP, so it has not been completely removed from the platform, but what does this mean for my singles not apart of a dedicated album? Would they have been erased?
