Having trouble with Gmail. (yeah, I know, I know, I've used it since it launched and it's been good enough for 20 years.)
But, here's my question. Is anyone working on a SMTP bridge that we can use to see our Nostr feed and Email inbox within the same app?

Agreed, it seems to work really well, at least for P2P. I haven't been able to try private group chat yet, still waiting for people willing to try it with me.
A better idea in my opinion would be to do what they did in the 1990's. During the development of the Federal budget, if a piece of legislation was introduced that had some spending, it was required to include the funding source. And if tax cuts were introduced, they were required to include what spending would be cut to pay for it.
It's called Pay as you Go, and it allowed us to reach a balanced budget which would have started to allow us to pay off the debt in 2001, except Bush ran on a platform of giving all this money back to people and he won because he made promises.
It doesn't. The only income stream built into Bitcoin is mining. Anything else is a ponzi scheme.

Twitter is completely broken. I stopped getting notifications of new posts from profiles I follow a week or so ago, and that cut off a lot of my data points for how the ETFs are growing and a few other things that I found interesting. I go there to see if I have any messages from people, then I just close it. Also, the mobile X app refused to let me log in, so I uninstalled it. I just use the browser.
Facebook/Meta is COMPLETELY hosed. I once dared to type "Geoforce" into a chat when talking about my graphics card, and their algorithm deleted the message and gave me a warning. Then I dared to say "sigh..." when I was talking about getting that warning, and the algorithm kicked me from the Messager Chat that I had set up for a Group that I had created. We shut the chat down and moved it to Discord, mostly because most of the members were not ready to move to Nostr.
Corporate Social Media can jump into a lava lake. I'm not deleting my accounts because most of my friends and connections are still over there, but Nostr is where I spend most of my time. Zen for me is watching the devs chat about what they are building and sharing ideas for them to include. And zapping anything that I enjoy to spread the love.

For people in 1st and 2nd world countries, the best thing to do with Bitcoin right now is to accumulate. Our transaction fees are low enough that we can use the existing currency as the medium of exchange, but we should be saving our reserve capital as much as possible in Bitcoin and using that as our primary Store of Value.
What we really need to do is encourage everyone to do that, while also encouraging people in developing countries to use Bitcoin as the Medium of Exchange. It's hard in a lot of areas because Internet Access is so hard to get, but any country where the inflation rate is 10%, 20% or 50% should be trying to transition to using Bitcoin Lightning Network as much as possible.

if this is real, that's great. But I think it might be better to incorporate it into an air conditioning unit somehow. Probably more difficult.
I'm not a climate scientist. If what scientists like this TED Talker is saying is wrong, then we'll be fine. If they are not wrong, then we won't be. I just wish we could build a better world for everyone instead of just fighting about what a better world might look like.
I think we should be trying to create an environment where we can thrive, not challenging whether or not we can survive.
And the more people that can be employed trying to figure out HOW to tax them.
