I will never give up respecting everybody. Nostr Dev. Creative. Athlete. Optimist. Freedom lover. Know nothing nobody. Discovering myself. A little GFY is good for you. Sovereign Online Since 810018. nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn wondering if NIP 04 is on its way out? Will DM “to and from” metadata be inaccessible for queries in the (near) future?

I thought so also. But have commented out all async function calls. Still broke.

But maybe I should run behind a cache… on localhost? … that’s new to me.

One of the features I've really appreciated over the years about FB as a platform is the ability for searching for nearby friends and friends of friends living in certain locations.

I get the sense that #nostr perhaps because it is so #bitcoin centric maybe, has more of a flare of anonimity, that it seems like the purpose is not necessarily to make connections that you can take offline IRL too. Am I correct?!?

Though, I'd personally like to see, as this freedom tech movement grows over the next few decades, that it can hopefully empower and encourage our society to have more human to human IRL connection not less. I would love to see it assist in the repair of disconnect we've been witnessing and experiencing rapidly take place over the last decade+ through/by this whole virtual world prism we've been getting more deeply sucked and entrenched into.

Just sayin...

For myself, some of these interactions that were taken to irl because I randomly saw a friend is nearby have contributed to some of the biggest shifts in my world and best friendships. And I appreciate that.

I loved reaching out to someone in my network just yesterday who I randomly came across and noticed lives close to where I happened to be and that short interaction now is enhancing my experience.

We may even meet in person and who knows what co-emerges from that.

Thanks Diyana for speaking up. What you want for nostr is what many of us want. Let’s keep the fire lit to power up nostr with real connections!!

I also expected all anon accounts with black hoodies and such. Pleasantly surprised at how many real people I’ve met. Honestly… the “in person” experiences are where it’s at. Let’s do more of these!! #Chicago #nostrplebes #meetup

Vite is killing me! Spinning pages without errors won’t load. First one, now all routes are dead now. Won’t even serve. Out of the blue on localhost. Ruining my chill. Anybody?

Is that a dip over the holidays? I know I was mostly offline then.

My vegan raw foodie friends were doing their thing LOOOOONG before y’all keto meatheads took the torch. Y’all both right about Whole Foods for health, but meat (or no meat) has nothing to do with it.

I don’t like any political agenda. None.

decentralized infrastructure after catastrophic event…

Thanks for sharing your videos and comments here. Not on YT or other socials. Nostr is just better. Thanks for humoring us all.

Thank you. While discussing the social onboarding client we are working on, nostr:npub1san22nhe59ct8pstcehav4dtkf94lkn46ltl7d30g3zzl00tg7ussgqjdd suggested identity verification as a high priority. He drafted a document describing a signing procedure wherein individuals could cryptographically sign off on the validity of each others’ profile fields, for a PGP style distributed ranking system. We’re working on this.

As I see, There could be multiple NIPs drafted for nostr’s WOT implementation, all working together under an API defined by a “WOT implementor NIP”.

Given that there MUST be multiple “layers” (some known some yet unknown) to trust and identity verification AND that all clients SHOULD be consistent in their “end user” presentation of trust rankings (a check or something), it makes sense to me that there should be a dedicated “WOT implementor NIP” just describing how this presentation should enfold and an API of sorts for various WOT ranking tools to “plug in” to.

Each user could then choose the trust ranking tools that make sense to them.

To your point, the ranking system COULD implement a 1-100 scale in the back end, with a “min threshold” settings for end users. (Though some WOT ranking tools may only output a simple Boolean) IMHO, the trust ranking presentation itself (in the UX) should be Boolean (trusted or not, for specific apps/use cases) and could be determined by the user’s “min threshold” setting.

My random thoughts. But bottom line… WOT needs to at least be extendible and have a consistent UX defined by NIP.

Mostly harmless.

Young Progressives fear the “chaos” that comes with decentralization. They actually abhore freedom of choice. Would rather public is mandated to “do the right thing” than let “anarchy” decide.

Old progressives have given up already. They are either too set in their ways to GAF or too jaded by progressive failures to keep imagining.

I had to abandon progressive conditioning to come anywhere close to Bitcoin.

Thats my stupid take.
