Part of Milei's economic plan, they reduced federal monthly payments to provinces and La Rioja couldn't keep up with its budget and basically went bankrupt. So they created a new currency to prop up the provincial economy. They've been giving out about USD 40 worth of chachos to individuals, where the monthly average salary is USD 240. It's a 16% gift overnight, sky will be the limit for prices IF business actually accept these.

It's unfortunate the extent that provinces in Argentina, such as La Rioja have gone to get away from the Peso, but they've set the peg of their new currency, the "Chachos," at 1:1 to the Peso; no way to escape inflation.

One of the real costs of privacy is convenience.

It's not easy to give up the UI/UX of Google and Apple products for hardwares and softwares like nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll , nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5 and Linux (all three which are great).

Once you take the bold and liberating step, the feeling is kind of the same as having a kid. You won't really know how awesome it is until you do it.

Another reminder as to why protocols and not platforms.

It's a good thing crypto bros are the psychopaths and not us bitcoiners

its fine, we're a local bank built upon a money printer that most likely going to hyper inflate and ran by people that think more centralization is the solution

Unfortunately not that many people will ever drop the convenience of Big Tech for the proof-of-work of self-sovereignty.

They will, unfortunately, realize this when its too late. It is our responsibility to save as many souls as possible today.

Running a node is like running your little own sovereign bank and creating your own payment network. It's a thing of beauty

It only feels like it is more annoying because you don't know your way around yet.

Unless you need some specialist software like certain #hamradio cps everything you need is a click away and none of the annoyances.

Once you learn your way around it is far nicer. Kinda line switching from xitter to nostr.

Very true. I've still have a lot to learn about Linux, but slowly making my way

What I like about nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll in comparison to Umbrel is the amazing support team that they have on Telegram. I honestly have not experienced better tech support from any other company. Their response time is very fast and that helped me a lot as I went down the self-sovereignty rabbit hole, coming from a non-technical background. I believe support for second HDD is in the timeline, but can't confirm 100%.

Start9 + Graphene would be a match made in heaven.

Great write-up from nostr:npub1dtgg8yk3h23ldlm6jsy79tz723p4sun9mz62tqwxqe7c363szkzqm8up6m about what Nostr is.

I know many of us here have been trying to get people onboarded to Nostr but it's hard.

His write-up has helped me get people on or at least have a more educated conversation about the potential of Nostr.

It does indeed!

You have to learn to live in the system, while not relying 100% from the system.
