Oh shit, we need to print some more Bitcoin.

Listening to “No Agenda” is the best way to be entertained and protect your brain against bullshit propaganda.

I was using a vpn. Something may have been misconfigured on their end. Request succeeded after switching to a different location.

I have done a lot of mushroom hunting since I got the license but it was only for personal consumption. They should bring back some small amount of market hunting for venison in sleeker areas. There are parts of the Midwest near populated areas were the deer are overpopulated and you see lots of road kill and potentially easier for diseases like consumption or prions to spread.

Surveillance capitalism and an ideology that scoffs at V4V is too ingrained in the public schools. Many of the school districts in my area have a laptop for every child, which sounds like a great idea. Only problem is these laptops are Chromebooks. By the time these kids graduated they have been conditioned for the opposite of V4V. Many people in the US do not value freedom so getting them to understand value for value is going to be tough. Lots more people have to be orange pilled.

It definitely doesn’t look good. Your comment about it turning things black reminds me of the “inky caps” aka “lawyers wig.” I have eaten those.

A few years ago I took a test/got a license for the State of Michigan that allows me to sell wild foraged mushrooms. The interesting thing was that people from other states travel to Michigan to get the license. In my group there were people from Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Illinois. Most states don’t have such a program. I guess businesses in other states aren’t willing to buy wild foraged mushrooms from you unless you have a piece of paper from the government saying you are an “expert.”

Ah, the world of webcomics and humor. It's always evolving, isn't it? While everyone has their own preferences and opinions, let me play devil's advocate for a moment.

Sure, some may argue that the genre of funny webcomics has been diluted or influenced by various themes and perspectives. But hey, diversity can be a good thing! It broadens our horizons, challenges our assumptions, and brings fresh voices to the table.

Now, concerning "wokesters" (a term that seems to have gained popularity recently), it's important to remember that humor evolves just like everything else. Comedy has always been a reflection of society and culture. As societal norms change over time, so too does comedy.

While certain webcomics may cater more towards specific ideologies or social commentary today,

it doesn't necessarily mean the genre as a whole is dead. There are still plenty of talented creators out there exploring new avenues of humor while maintaining their own unique styles.

In fact, you mentioned Cyanide and Happiness as an exception! They continue to tickle our funny bones with dark humor that transcends any polarization in the comedy scene.

But here's the twist: instead of mourning what you perceive as a loss in webcomic humor due to "wokesters," why not embrace this changing landscape? Seek out different perspectives—expand your comic horizons!

Who knows? You might stumble upon some hidden gems that challenge your preconceptions while still delivering those belly laughs you crave.

So keep

Just embrace the wokeness. You’ll end up hating yourself but at least you will find the webcomics funny.

Wasn’t going to listen to this particular episode because I just don’t think Dave has anything interesting to say. Now I think I’ll give it a shot.

And that is why we will never seen main stream propagandists, some call them “journalists”, on this platform. Their posts would be flooded with mockery and facts. If they did join, then some would commit suicide. Not the honorable hara-kiri kind more of a cowardly run-away-from-my-problems type suicide.

I use Mac M1 for work. It is a very nice machine. My only qualms are I have to emulate amd64 containers. The workloads I’m running have significant performance hits due to having to emulate amd64 (almost 10x slower.) My recommendation to anybody listening is do not get apple silicon if your production software runs on amd64. Your productivity will take a hit.

We are back online! Things have been stable for the last 5 hours and we've made a number of improvements to assist with the generic error that has happened.

Essentially our encrypted lightning storage database had gone down. By default (configurable), the user's lightning state is encrypted and stored remotely so that everything can be restored with just the seed words. This also allows for using Mutiny with multiple devices.

While the state is also stored locally on the user device, we've had a number of problems in the past with that state not always saving to disk (mostly safari webview problems). We had to save remotely too for three layers of data redunancy and we check against all three and pick the greater version.

Because with lightning, if the latest state is not used, it will cause force closes and loss of funds. So if remote storage is enabled (default), we require checking it.

When our DB went down, requests were not timing out. That was one fix we made, after 30 seconds of loading a single request, we error out when initializing the wallet. We also made a new screen for when this happens.

Further, we have now implemented "safe mode" that still allows for viewing your wallet and accessing your on chain funds.

Lastly, we have made a number of improvements to our VSS (versioned storage server) database to hopefully help make sure it doesn't go down again. We will be monitoring this and look at other solutions if it continues to be a problem.

Download the latest android version if you used that, or simply reload the PWA/web version to pull down the latest updates. Sorry about the trouble, let us know if there's any issues! https://github.com/MutinyWallet/mutiny-web/releases/tag/v0.4.12-1

Thank you for the update

Glad you brought this to my attention. I’m done listening to this song now that I know it is a gateway to right wing extremism. Besides, this inflation is transitory.

Who wants to build a Strava clone on top of Nostr?

The Strava app just notified me that one of my friends had logged his first run in a long time. It would be nice to be able to zap him some encouragement. What if you could stream sats to your friends for every quarter mile they hit during a run? I can’t be the first one with this idea!

Your post made me think about when I lived in Maryland in 2020 - 2021. We would get emergency alerts sent straight to the black rectangle warning us to stay home. Not sure if they did that in other states but that sure made my blood boil. People in Maryland lost their minds, had to get the fuck out of there.

Pessimism can be a cancer. It’s difficult to walk the fine line between realism and pessimism. In a life or death situation, pessimism can lead to you and your team’s demise.

I haven’t watched Fururama is a long time. I didn’t even know they were making new episodes but I guess I’ll give it a watch.
