You know what would be amazing?! If you could hold the zap to charge it, visually indicating a charge “level” in color and number.

When zapped, the sender and recipient both feel the vibrations (if on mobile). The intensity of the vibration corresponds to the charge level with some crazy animation above a certain threshold.

Optional, opt in, with limits to max zap amounts.

Just had a thought - Imagine an AI ChatGPT-ish running inside a video game that is designed to act like 1000s of unique NPCs. They all have a personality and you can interact with them and convince them to help you, or make them angry, etc. they could have their own goals or things that you have to do with them and you have to change how you interact based on actually getting to know them.

I definitely wouldn’t have the time to play this game, lol, but it sounds like there is fascinating potential here to make games insanely dynamic, actually have nuanced *social* conflicts and challenges (no more just endlessly killing NPCs), and without any explicit path, but still maintaining an overall structure and narrative. Even crazier, it would involve SO much less work for the developers. Basically describe important characters, what important information they’re know, or object they have, and then let the AI do the rest. 🤔

MacBook Pro or Air?

The 16 year old kid said it was his car, but that he didn't have insurance. When his father showed up, he said that he did have insurance. We exchanged info, I took photographs, I filed an online police report.

I can't drive my truck home. I'll be borrowing a friend's truck, a friend who is in Central America presently.

I hope my truck will be okay here. Gang members might break in trying to steal shit during the night, given that it's not a safe part of town and the police don't respond. I took everything out of it, but if the windows get broken I will be out of pocket.

My insurance policy is not to insure. I'm a risk taker and I've saved at least 30k so far by doing that, so if I'm out of pocket for broken windows, or even for this entire repair for some reason or another, it was still a good bet.

I’m guessing they will need rate limiting too - in case something blows up. Perhaps someone’s DMs go wild for example - maybe that’s ok for a back and forth, however not ok for a DM flood attack.

Strangely the rate limit may need to be dynamic per pubkey.

However, what is your event firehouse for notifications? A relay aggregation service? Targeting only a pubkey’s 10002 read relays? How do their private/encrypted relays work? It’s all very complex.

Personally I prefer async comms - and disable notifications.

Not sure why it breaks in #[3]​ and #[2]​ and if note1 is affecting the preview. For me, adding nostr: as the prefix, the quotes are previewed and linked to the original note on those mentioned clients.
