It’s hard to do that if everybody else is waiting. Nothing happens if people are not moving before they are kicked out.
A lot of people have tried to move for a while but they always come back to X since it’s no point posting to nobody if you have a following elsewhere.
A year ago it was hard to find any instances that let you join them due to the massive inflow of Twitter users.
Yet, the biggest issue is the network effect for all the alts of X. If the people are not there the platform does not matter.
My similar answer on Masto:
Yes. The growth has come in phases where X has done something massively “interesting”. Bsky is also still on invite-only stage so it’s not even open for all.
It lacks videos and some other features but I would say it’s main appeal: an alt. to X.
Why is Masto not able to bank on it is a really good question. My main guess is the architecture of separate instances that do not integrate into a smooth UX. The “a guest on somebody else’s computer” is too tech point for many.
The next stage is where artists are demanding to be included into the training sets

I wonder whether Wordpress installation would suit for this purpose. Hosting a wp for personal purposes is easy to do and every shared hosting provider has the one click versions for it.
Making a widget / custom theme to suit for nostr purposes would be great.
Could start just by using its image storing and media serving but extend to full relay backups, posting etc.
Activitypub is already integrated: https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/

Some +20 years ago I figured out with a help of a local that the map was incorrect in the Tokyo metro. Don’t remember whether it was the Lonely Planet’s or the stations (or both).
As a bonus, you get 50 shades of gray soon
LLM training data: “Historical, debunked data makes it into the models and is preferred by the model output. There is much more outdated, harmful information published than there is updated, correct information. Hence statistically more viable.”

btw, Just tried https://mastodon.social/@MonaApp (for Mastodon) and it’s packed with features. If somebody building a client wants to get some ideas might be worth checking out.
Not sure those work too well in practise. There are always ways to game the system if one wants. For example, using lists or some other ways to hide the real following.
Sometimes there are just different ways and styles of usage. For example, Robert Scoble builds huge lists and follows a lot of people and his user behaviour is not typical.
A follow/unfollow pumping is a signal that’s hard to justify unless it’s a software bug.
Damus is blazing fast. When you open it it fires with the latest notifications immediately. Noticed also that a profile pic change of a user was there when other clients still showed the old one.

That’s a mini/micro-app product for photojournalists.
Nostur has a signer has a feature on the client.
Also the “verify message signatures” could be extended to show that the image hash is the original hash.
Taking a picture does not mean anything either unless it’s done on film (which can be manipulated as well) or with an old digital camera that is closer to analogue:
