Now do the game theory analysis. What happens when the people with the guns and courts promise 51% of the population that they can provide free stuff?

That seems high... I usually shoot for 8-10 hrs in the 120-145 internal range. Takes a little longer but it's sooooo tender.
Yes! Nihilist, narcissistic book with no plot or point. Wish I could get those 8 hours of my life back. Holden could have at least had the common courtesy to off himself in the end.
Is there an opposite for "humblebrag?"
You are the first "Nostr influencer" as far as I can tell!
Had this happen when an A/CH deposit didn't clear once. Swan is essentially extending short term credit for smash buys so they are scammable on timelines of ~1 wk.
The path of greatest pain is to consolidate for months just under 100k, maybe poking through and falling back a few times.
2% cap gains on 50 P/E valuation = 100% income tax.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
This shines new light on the Sept rate raise. If they went with 0 or 25 bip, they could have reversed course and raised rates to spike a Trump win with a quick recession. But with the 50 bip cut it's much harder to reverse course, both politically and financially.
This puts the recent special auction to roll long bonds to bills and notes into a new perspective. J Pow prevented them from causing an asset selloff when Trump came in, so their only play was to roll to duration to try and spike inflation and pin it on Trump. Which is, pretty. Fucking. Weak.
But did the coin go up because of better regulatory prospects, or because it sniffed more debasement?
I stopped donating years ago when it became clear they were using vague rules to systematically selective-edit articles for political reasons. They should just drop the whole non profit face and sell themselves to Alphabet already.
Honest qs because we had similar issues but chose to limit time:
Did/do you also get rid the of your screens at home (or relegate to workstations rather than mobile screens)?
Is there a plan to introduce screens eventually? I often look back at my youth which included plenty of time on the computer, and while I'm sure it concerned my parents at the time it turned into a luctative and rewarding career.
To steelman a response, in a way no socialist I've met would ever enunciate because they are usually not thinking that hard: capitalism works great in a framework where the use of force is restrained by some other entity. But the first thing you'll do if someone threatens your family is run to the strongest most connected person you know. Similar to how a bitcoiner might say frequent small crashes are preferable to generational large crashes, a socialist might say that infrequent democratically-sanctioned government aggression is preferable to generational aggressions by the next stronger warlord. History does suggest a certain level of scale of aggression is necessary to prevent complete annihilation and subjugation. Why not try to harness the demon if you can't kill it?
All this does for me is to highlight the perversion of language over time for political means. This prayer has been subtly modified since I was a child, and far more since my father received it in Latin. The modifications are deliberate to the letter and frankly, they sound woke and vaguely Marxist to me. A creeping takeover of an ancient and intentionally difficult to change religion by a new and, based on early tests, disastrous religion. Incredible to watch from a distance.
Biggest issue is thermal management. There will be applications that value being off Earth enough (Starlink serves some streaming content from orbit already). But Earth is an excellent heat sink and vacuum is an excellent insulator. The enabler will likely be something like space solar power or mirror reflectors (god help us) that provide really large shadows and a structure to hang pipes on for ~free.
Starlink caches some streaming content on the satellites already. Biggest problem with data centers in space is thermal management. Vacuum is a very good insulator (the best, technically). I think it will only make sense for data or processing that puts high value on not being on Earth for some reason, at least until some application can pay the tab for
