BitVM appears to enable trustless 2 way pegs which means we get all the sidechains we want with no need for any forks. Everything is gonna be okay, number is going up, be happy.
I think freedom is going to be available to the people who really want it. Unfortunately, I'm so not sure everyone does.
As things stand right now, people could theoretically be onboarded to the Lightning network in a non-custodial manner via the Liquid federated sidechain which has like 10x the block capacity of Bitcoin & can be changed much more easily. That alone is far better than any sort of less transparent custodial relationship. And even better is that BitVM seems to make trustless two way pegs possible, which means Liquid could potentially be made much more trustless & we will likely get all sorts of sidechain solutions, which will probably just be linked together via LN. Scaling seems like much less of an issue now than it ever has, it's just a matter of making use of all the tools currently available. There are Bitcoin Audible episodes covering a lot of scalling ideas.
As difficult as it might be sometimes, it's generally important to remember that most normies are just people who have (often from very young ages) been punished for thinking or questioning things & rewarded for regurgitating whatever nonsense was spouted by the authority figures in their lives.
This crosses all sexual, racial, cultural, & professional boudaries (even if not always equally).
I have a friend who is a pastor and he says that based on his studies there is nothing anywhere to indicate that there are any gates around heaven or that anyone is unwelcome. It's actually that people wind up in hell because they don't think heaven sounds appealing at all.
In my experience, that seems to be the case with most things. I thought it applied particularly well to the people I have seen struggling with health issues who indicate that giving up the foods that are likely the source of their problems sounds horrible, so they continue to struggle. But this is really an even better example.

People don't tell "white lies" to help others, they tell them to help themselves at the expense of others.

And there's really no such thing as a "white lie," it's just a concept made up to justify lying.
Well, "trans" really isn't a thing because they aren't "transitioning" to anything. You simply cannot change your sex. You can only become a mutilated version of whatever you already were.
If someone believes "marriage" is defined as a union specifically between man & woman then they wouldn't believe there is such a thing as gay marriage. That might be a bit silly, but it's not difficult to understand.
And abortion is generally an elective destruction of a life that was created by the actions of the person electing to have that life ended. Support it or not, trying to frame it as some sort of life preserving medical proceedure is pretty disingenuous, it's just the opposite.

I like a lot of the goals - tough, bullet proof, more areodynamic than most trucks (despite looking like a brick), & I don't hate the idea of a cyberpunk aesthetic, but I agree that it's probably not going to live up to the hype & the look definitely leaves something to be desired.
I kinda think a series hybrid with a diesel generator & maybe large capacitors of some sort might ultimately be the way to go, but idk. It is at least more interesting than the indistinguishable cookie cutter bullshit that is now being made by basically every car company.
Nah, fish & lizards lay eggs... the first living thing closest to whatever we might call a chicken was hatched from an egg laid by whatever came before it.
And life with multiple vehicles in a rural area is still a standard American fuckload cheaper than life in most cities... just saying 😜
Among animal products, only dairy seems to be super addictive & likely to make me gain anything. I can eat ridiculous amounts of steak & eggs & still lose weight if I am not working out enough.
They are 100% necessary for anyone living in a rural area. Life depends on them quite literally sometimes. But the smart thing to do is to learn how to work on them & always buy used.
Time to just delete the whole mess. We don't need better politicians in our lives, we need no politicians in our lives.
