We'll see how things go, but primaries have been stolen on both sides in recent history. And maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect we have reached a point in the corruption where the general election may never have an honest outcome again. Sure it's not a ton of effort to throw a rock at the tank once every so often, but the amount of time & energy most people spend on politics would be much better spent building useful things. Black markets save collapsing societies, new presidents can only marginally delay the inevitable.

I don't vote because they're all criminals, but Trump seems to scare & piss off all of the worst people in politics & the media. He also didn't start any new wars & tried to take conflict with N Korea off the table which puts him lightyears ahead of most other politicians. He was such a problem for the bottom line of the military industrial complex that they made up "Russian collusion" & repeated that nonsense for 3 years & then used the emotional distaste they manufactured toward Russia in the minds of idiotic Americans to garner support for a proxy war that ultimately kills millions & just destroys Ukraine.
Our criminal govt investigated the man for years & the charges they finally brought are built on "novel legal theory" because they had to stretch to even pretend a crime was committed, & of course they waited until just before the election year to bring said charges.

I am not saying that it's impossible to avoid being incredibly lonely without kids, or even that loneliness can definitely be avoided by having them. I'm not saying it's impossible to have a fulfilling life without kids. What I am saying is that everyone is going to die. And without kids all the people close to a person's age will die & become incapable of traveling & interacting in a similar time frame. Kids (if you raise & treat them right) are likely to produce a growing network of loving relationships with younger generations of people who wouldn't exist without you & as a result have some natural inclination toward loving & appreciating you, & seeing that you are cared for in your old age. What happens later in life is certainly not the only thing to consider, but it's an important piece IMO. I think the more someone tries to buck our biological programming, the harder it will be to achieve real feelings of fulfillment.
And I think there is a very anti-human cult of people trying to encourage others not to have kids & to misattribute natural feelings of awkwardness to being in the wrong body & other such nonsense.
