If he can't get her pregnant then the problem solves itself. Men who are healthy and take care of themselves have fathered children despite their old age with no issues.
"Sending love & light to the collective is one of my favorite activities" (actual quote)
Translation: I like to feel like I'm doing good things without doing anything.
It's good for YOU to be optimistic, & to see & want good things in the world, but what really matters is what you accomplish using all those good feelings to motivate yourself toward productive endeavors.
Meh, he's pretty elitist & has a lot of shit takes. But he says something decent & is kinda funny once in a while.
I truly did not realize how bad the lonely bitter old women problem already is...
And judging by the number of seemingly intelligent & well put together 20 somethings who say they don't want kids, & 30 somethings who "aren't sure yet" on dating apps, this problem is only going to get worse.
We might need some sort of tech to peacefully subdue all of the angry Karens we're gonna have to deal with in the not so distant future. Like robot children that sweat anti-depressants or something.
Something else might work, but definitely changes the search results for people looking.
Well yeah, meetup has a network effect working in its favor (its name is the thing people are trying to do), but it's also expensive & they censor the creation of certain groups. What does that have to do with overcoming flockstr's network effect problems?
But if there are no people on the platform then you can't create a local meetup. So the platform is useless as a way to find like minded people in your area. If I have to advertise locally to set up a group, I'm just going to get people to download keet or telegram. I don't need meetup or flockstr outside of the initial effort to find people with specific interests. It's only useful if there are already lots of people there & no, I don't see how small groups help with the problem at all.
Eh... Yeah network effects are a bitch tho
Something like 90% of a woman's eggs are gone by 30. Women can absolutely have children after 35 & even after 40, but if you want multiple kids, starting after 35 is definitely not ideal. Aiming to find someone in their late 20s or early 30s is a smarter approach, IMO.
None of that means it's too late for a woman in her middle to late 30s, or that they won't be good mothers or anything like that.
I am not pursuing love or a relationship with anyone who cannot potentially be a mother to future children, so I don't see it as a big issue. If it turned out that the person I wanted to have kids with couldn't have them, that would be a very unfortunate thing, but I'm sure we would investigate other options.
But I would ideally like to find someone who is healthy & intelligent & attractive so that we might pass those things on to our kids.
Agree, but in general fuck Owen, he is pretty horrible on way too many things.
It can take a year or more to really get to know someone, and 35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy. It doesn't matter if you're a 50 year old guy. Don't let bitter & lonely women convince you that there is anything even slightly wrong with looking for someone in their late 20s or early 30s if you want kids & a family.
What better way to dispose of industrial waste than to spread it into everything in small amounts & get paid for it.

One way or another, if God is real, then reason is not a threat, but is the path to Him. Those who are threatened are either manipulators who depend on maintaining certain delusions in others, or people who have been trying to hide their own uncertainty from themselves.

The world is a mess, but there are a lot of good things happening. The system we live under really wasn't any less corrupt in the 90s or 00s, corrupt people just had better control of the dominant narratives. Which just means their crimes were better hidden & things felt less chaotic. The information chaos of today is the sign that the worst people are losing their grip, & that is a very positive development.
