Business owner, homeschool Mom, science geek, newbie gardener & rabbit breeder.

When my son was 3 or 4 years old, I decided to try making cheese. I bought a cheese making book, a cheese making video, and some pots, knifes, thermometers, and a press. My son went from watching Thomas the Tank Engine videos every morning, to watching my cheese making video. Pretty cool, but I don't think he remembers any of it.

impossible to get results published. Peer review has become more about maintaining the status quo than about checking studies for accuracy.

I've heard of apeel. It sounds horrific. It also sounds like they can put it on organic produce which is concerning. Hopefully it will always be labeled.

Beautiful. I t looks a lot different than my Wyoming area even if we have gotten lots of snow this winter and lots of rain this Spring.

I always had a large majority in Bitcoin, but I just traded my last bit of Ethereum for Bitcoin. Now everything except $40 in ZEC and some rounding error leftovers is in BTC.

I probably need to tell my employees what I do. I put part of my direct deposit into Strike which autobuys BTC with 80% of the deposit (dollar cost averaging), leaving 20% with which I buy BTC when I see a dip. I also put part of my money in Fold where I earn 1% or more off (2.5% on Amazon gift card purchases) and more from spins. This keeps me investing in money that doesn't inflate away. Part can go to USD for immediate bills.

I've wanted to share with employees, but don't want to be sued if they need money back during a dip.

Sounds more like a benefit than a problem, especially today.

I felt bad for the big city folk locked in their apartments, but I got so much done around the yard and I finally mostly healed from adrenal problems I'd been fighting for more than a decade. I loved it, but felt guilty about loving it.

Covid lock downs were a wonderful thing for me. It gave me the time to put in a bunch of beds and bring in some decent soil. Theystill didn't produce a ton (partially due to our bad weather and short growing season). I got rabbits last year and started dumping their bedding directly on the beds and got better results than ever before.

I'm planning on building a pseudo Johnson-Su compost reactor to mix the bunny bedding, kitchen scraps, garden scraps, and wood chips from our wood splitting/firewood cutting area. I'm hoping to up the garden even more, but the composter will take a good year to produce the high quality compost I'm hoping to add. I've also been adding some small quantities of some amendments -- worm castings, azomite, and green sand to my beds to hopefully improve things even more. I'm loving it.

I've attached a picture of building our biggest, fanciest bed and some of the stuff grown in it the past 2 years. My newer beds, built a year or 2 later, haven't produced as well. I'm still building fertility in them and optimizing the automated watering.

Right now I am just trying to get as self sufficient as possible. I tried getting involved in politics, but it was bad for my health (exacerbated my adrenal insufficiency). My husband was even in the legislature for 6 years (Wyoming's version of Ron Paul aka Dr. No).

He might get back into politics in the future. I think my days are over. It just causes me too much stress. I'll keep the homestead cranking.

Same here. I'm hoping to get my seed started broccoli and cabbage planted outside this weekend, but my warmer season plants are still close to a month out. I was thinking about trying to put out a few seeds in 2 weeks if the weather forecast looks good, but we'll see. We can still get freezes and snow for at least another week. One year we got a dusting of snow on July 4th weekend, so it can be late.

fluoride might be good for your teeth, but it is also a neurotoxin, so you don't want to ingest it. It is hard to put on your teeth and not swallow any.

I've heard that theobromine can do the same thing as fluoride without the side effects, but even theobromine isn't really supposed to be ingested.

Yes, you need vitamin D3, vitamin K2, and magnesium for your body to properly use calcium.

Also, stay away from sodas. They are horrible for your teeth. If you must drink them, drink with a straw to keep the acid and sugar off of your teeth.

Me, too.

Most of it, I am familiar with, but I still enjoy seeing it and am too busy to post myself.

It went well.

We also host a group we call "Genesis Club" that includes kids (middle & high school) and their parents studying Christian apologetics and creation science. We are mostly using Answers in Genesis's "Masters apologetics" class, but also watch other videos and discuss them. It has been great.

Originally it was meant for the kids, but none of the original kids drove and we live a ways outside of town, so we invited the parents to join us, so they didn't have to drive back and forth. Now the parents like it as much as the kids and sometimes come even if their kids can't come.
