You don't have to choose between Bitcoin as Store-of-Value and Digital-Cash.

Fighting SOV bitcoin is like fighting water. Bitcoin is a central bank replacement. It's the only non-counter-party thing you can really own.

The Mempool is sub 5sat/vB, it's cheaper right now to send L1 sats than anything else.

So why don't people send it?

NgU and Gresham's Law will work against bitcoin as Digital Cash until people don't have any other garbage to spend first.

Natural incentives hold bitcoin from being used as digital cash not narratives.

Keep building the Digital Cash tools, eventually there will be nothing else to spend but bitcoin.

I’ve seen a few folks who can do this successfully. Meritocracy and patience seem critical in these.

The people born between 1975 and 1995 are the most special generation of all time, and here's why:

They were born between two generations: one before the internet and before technology took control, and the following generation.

The generation before 1985 was old-school and believed in hard, consistent work, while the next generation believes in smart work.

This generation has seen it all: radio, television, Mario Bros, Nokia, cassettes, VHS, DVDs, Nintendo, PS4, video stores, Netflix, Snapchat, and virtual reality.

This is the generation that knows tradition and questions and judges based on reasoning. The previous generation didn’t ask questions, and the next one doesn’t know tradition.

The bridge between the industrial era and the internet age, they understand both sides based on experience. This generation should be leading everything. The older generation doesn’t understand what’s happening now, and the next generation doesn’t know where what they have comes from.

Like others, I find this project quite valuable and would pay for extras.

Also, my plan is to have nip75 Zap Goals integrated with freelance Jobs at least but probably git issues and kanban tasks as well.

You will be able to raise money feature by feature and gauge interest of users and raise awareneness.

I want to see a future where nostr businesses(including satshoot) can gradually build themselves up choosing from multiple open source tools to monetize and fund themselves.

OpenSats has been great to bootstrap things but relying on them in the long run removes us from market incentives I believe.

This feels so wrong, can you agree with David?

Today I broke off the toxic relationship with my partner. I love her and want to be with her, but we can't seem to figure out how to stop fighting.

We made the most amazing memories together. I learned so much about myself and my shortcomings. I really hope she will find a more suitable partner.

Now starts the journey back to myself, back to loving friends and family, and loving life ❤️

Prediction: to compete with proprietary nostr relays, others will have to build their own proprietary apis to deliver similar value. People will stop caring about interoperability and nostr just becomes isolated twitter-like islands just like before. Most clients then become light clients for these proprietary relays, and users lose control over which relays they can choose to talk to.

This is starting to happen today, how do we prevent this? VCs and people trying to make money won’t care about the hard work of protocol dev and interoperability, in fact, its in their interest to explicitly make it harder for other clients to have similar functionality via protocol improvements.

nostr could go down a very bad path very soon. Which way do you choose anon? Give up on the protocol for shiny new features? Or support less featured clients focused on interoperability? I suspect most will choose the former 😔
