Last night, I took a major step by deleting nearly all my social media accounts, breaking free from a decade-long addiction to blue light and dopamine-driven platforms. I’m 29 and didn’t own a phone until 8th grade in 2008, starting with a Nokia and then a BlackBerry. While my peers were on AIM, MySpace, or playing Temple Run on iPhones, I was a late adopter of the doomscroll method and the addiction to smartphones. But once I got the smart phone and downloaded Facebook, Instagram Snapchat and so on, I became an attic like everyone else. Two days ago, I purchased the anxious generation by Johnathan haidt. I can't wait to dive into this book and come to a better understanding about what it is that is making individuals like me so obsessed with this technology. Although I have an understanding of what it may actually be, which is the blue light. Special thanks to Jack kruse for enlightening me about this topic. My journey to self-improvement began after my mom’s passing in 2019 and then became even more severe when my dad passed away in 2021. both are traumatic events that upended my life. their death, compounded by the isolation of COVID, sent me into a spiral of depression and cynicism. I was the definition of misery as company and I just really haven't been happy since then. This unhappy, selfishness and misery just recently ruined a three year relationship with an amazing girl. My anxiety, stress and anger, coupled with the awareness of the issues going on in the world around me caused me to push her away.

Back to the orange pill;

I first became aware of bitcoin in 2014 and the first time I ever bought some bitcoin was in December 2017 when I went on it's glorious run around 20,000. I was a Bro college kid who sold weeded and worked dead jobs so I didn't have a lot of money coming in so I didn't really go down the true orange pill pass until late 2020, which is when Bitcoin’s atomic rise inspired me. I bought my first full coin and began exploring books like The Bitcoin Standard, The Creature from Jekyll Island, and Lords of Finance, reshaping my views on health, finance, and systemic propaganda. Influences like: Max Keiset, Alex Becker, the Altcoin daily twins, Dr. Jack Kruse, Matt Odell, Marty Bent, Jack Mallers, Joe Rogan, RFK Jr., Jack Dorsey, Edward Snowden and yes, even Trump guided me toward decentralization and personal sovereignty.

Today, I’m done with the matrix—big tech, social media, altcoins, and debt-driven systems. I’m keeping it simple: Bitcoin, Nostr, Telegram, YouTube for podcasts, and cold storage for wealth preservation. 2025 is a new era—a fusion of spirit, mind, and decentralized tech to fight against the propaganda machine that’s dominated since the Industrial Revolution. This is my start toward freedom and serenity.
