Should Amethyst Drafts automatically expire in 1 year by default?

Or 90 days?

Defaults matter. 99% of people will never change this setting.

24 hours is fine for me lol :) probably 90 days for the masses would be fine.

24 hours for me. I forget about them.

90 days seems reasonable especially if it can be extended by the user. Would be nice if the expiry time were advertised.

Probably a switch to activate or deactivate drafts better. The time to live seems something arbitrary

Yes please

45d bc why not

90 days

every millisecond! 😑👌

1 YEAR

Id like even shorter like 48 hours.

48 hours

90 days

1 year.

90 days

90 days

Normie user here, the option to turn them off/on would be nice. I dont really even remember they exist. They don't really need to linger more than a week when you think about how fast everything moves.

A week seems appropriate

90

30 days, with the option for longer. Thanks for adding the drafts section, I would always forget where I started making a draft note. Apparently by the number of drafts I had I either think about my posts too long or they don't post when tried. My draft list was huge and some of them I swear I sent...

90 days is plenty. Probably sometime between 1 and 4 weeks would be the more than most people need

<= 30 days

Drafts are just junk. If it's that important, you'll post well within 24 hours.

I want the option for drafts to never leave the device.

You will need to install Citrine since Amethyst doesn't offer any database for events.

ah ok thanks

Then just add to your Private Home to send all the drafts there.

Having Default in system is the best thing Dev can set. Whateever unpredictable faults occured , its nice to get back to default , without torn down the whole architexture .

90 days is enough, Vitor! Thank you for your work 💜

90 days

I deleted all my drafts but everytime I open my Amethyst they appear then start disappearing so even if you put it at 90 days some relays are not deleting them

maybe even less? who is coming back to say something they started saying 3 months ago?

90 days

90 days 👌

180 days.. with a reminder pop up?

I think 90 days would be sensible .

put a limit on number of drafts. with warning when limit is reached.

90 days

30 days

🤔 90 days seems more than enough as default

Imo amethyst image uploads should post at the end of a message not where the cursor happens to be.

The image upload button should also become disabled when it's uploading, very easy to post multiple times.

send a notification to the user after 90 days is over and offer them to download their drafts so they could back them up themselves

other option is to have it set up with a note amount/memory cap, so the user will have to prioritise and manage themselves on which ones to keep and which ones to delete. has an obvious upsell option too

3 days, and also theres a bug you may have seen where drafts just kinda stick around forever just when posting a normal reply.. (in the UI)

cheers!

7 days; if in doubt, cut it out.

90 days should be plenty of time

Why isn't this post a poll?!

Underutilized feature IMHO

Never for me. I have notes and thought fragments old months already and I would like to get back to them sometime or when the right moment emerges...

90d

Never expire

Drafts should be disabled by default

69 secs after.

90 days

90 days or less. 30 days or something

90 days still seems long imo

30 días creo que son más que suficientes. Si no has publicado la nota en 30 días, probablemente no lo hagas nunca

Only save drafts when user explicitly chooses to do so. Never automatically or by default.

30-90 days

30 days seems more than enough to me

A month seems reasonable. Drafts are mostly left behind by accident, in my experience.

Please don't delete stuff without asking.

I would go with 30 days but warn the user that their drafts are being deleted soon
