Just boarded an eleven hour flight to Cairo. Going to spend the whole time doing a final proof-read of Broken Money to find the straggling typos that me and my editor missed, so my formatter can fix them in the final manuscript.
It’s funny- no matter how many rounds of editing you do on a book, there are always still some there.

What has been your experience with publishing a book #[1] ? Independent or through a publisher?
Publishers reached out including ones I like, but I decided to publish it via my own company to retain full control over content, art, schedule, etc. Our imprint is Timestamp Press.
I hired an amazing editor (who is also an Oxford-trained monetary historian and bitcoiner, Joakim Book), and he was a big boost. I wouldn’t have gotten research assistance like that via most traditional publishing.
Publishers are good if someone has a small platform or can’t front-load the costs. If someone has their own platform/reach and can front-load the costs, I think independent is the way to go.

Cuz your eyes are still your eyes. Or I should say your brain is still your brain. Prob very hard to catch the same typos your brain is accustomed to, that's why a fresh paid of eyes would be better.😄

Its very similar to video editing: There's no such thing as being "done." You just get to a point where you are sick of trying to make it better and just have to let it go and move on to the next thing 🤣

I'd think if the sentence is " in plenty of developing countries" instead of "in many developing countries", its a bit more raw and i love it. Its very authentic style of writing.

Yes, it's extraordinary how that happens. Typos are like socks - no matter how mindful you are, they slip through/away.

Just spoke to a mate (non bitcoiner) regarding sovereignty. He was explaining to me how we are individually sovereign and it's the State's role to protect that axiom. Over the centuries, it's been bastardised where the government is now sovereign. I then explained having sound money goes a long way to claiming our individual sovereignty. very suitable to bring a book called "Broken Money" to Egypt. The despair of people with their governments, the military, the fruitless revolution, and how the rulers build useless megacities for themselves far away while Cairo looks like a Blade Runner set was impressive and saddening. Still a super charming city in some spots with wonderful people.
