I think over generalizations are rarely useful. Yeah I know that’s an ironic statement.
I think you should just ask the guy what he’s looking for and tell him what you’re looking for. That’s what nostr:npub1e2rd2k45ym2jmctnysfadxumrvrr57vqj69ck6trt2y62c40r0kqs9lx8t and I did and I can’t overstate how nice it is to not find any surprises as you progress in the relationship.
I love this 🥹🙏🏽 you guys are wonderful, out here giving me hope ☺️🫂🙏🏽
Need more context.
All I see is a chapter titled "stuff men need" followed by a paragraph of about women and what they want.
Support, loyalty and the cookie is apparently all that a man needs. (Is under the title).
That’s all I’m curious about really
Men need friends just as much as women. Loyalty, support and physical attraction are very important, but equally important is finding a best friend.
I always tell younger men to look for women who they can do things with. Have a laugh, watch a movie, play sports, travel, whatever it is.
I’ve never understood the guys who only do shit with their guy friends, or women who only have a laugh with their gfs. In my experience these are the relationships that often end in ruin, once the initial passion fizzles. And it will. But when it’s your friend, and she becomes the mother of your children, the passion seems to intensify.
If I can interpret the 4 characteristics they are describing correctly,
Old man = wise
Ugly man = loyal/intelligent
Mandingo = strong/independent
Gay man = caring/attentive
Men who would offer this would also desire the same from you. You must become the person you want to be with and the law of attraction will do the rest.
I have heard this ☺️ this sounds fair 💯💯.
Personality wise, I think opposites kind of attract 🥹 I like someone who’s different to me, makes it more interesting because they can teach me things 🤓
Characteristics wise 💯💯% though this is the way
You're attractive in more ways than I could possibly list Eshara 💜. I'll tell you what I used to tell my students, things come to you when you stop looking for them. Which is just a way to say be patient, stay humble, things happen in their own time.
This helps me out.
You had me at cookie 🤤
I think I lost 23 IQ points reading that.
Do all women think like this?
Definitely not 😂🤣 I’m just looking for my best friend in life. Hate relying on anyone for anything - that being said, love is my exception 🥹 can’t really do that one alone
I don’t speak for all women though 🙏🏽
I guess he was trying to boil it down to the simple human needs of men and women but I was rather curious if it was even accurate from the men’s perspective 🤔 the women’s perspective is dodgy indeed 🤣🫂
If we are just talking about the subtitle it's pretty accurate. There's a lot more neuance of course. Modern society has messed up the dating process pretty badly. Usually when I am interested in getting dating advice I read a female author. It might be good to read a male author to get that perspective.
Totally agree, it’s a mess out there 😭
I do the same ! ☺️ Steve Harvey wrote this book, but he’s a little old fashioned so I wanted a second opinion 🤣🙏🏽
What book is that? Kind of bluepill-esque all over it in just one page. Anyway, ditch the cookie.
‘Act like a lady, think like a man’
What’s a blue pill? 🤓
Haha cookie = sex
What’s a Mandingo in your mind? I’m seeing different possibilities online.
I think a really manly man maybe? 🥹 I’m scared to google, you’re brave 🙏🏽
Are you having trouble meeting men you like or keeping/understanding them when you are dating them?
Neither, I’ve barely dated haha, I just want to prep for when I do go on a date next week 🫂🥹
im not into chicks that have 4 men, even if she gives up the cookie 🤣🤣🤣
We need to talk ! Lol I haven’t figured women out apparently but I got men figured being one and all.
YESSS prop I’d love that ☺️🙏🏽🥲🥹🔥🔥🫂💜 Mallory and I were talking about doing a nest about this book/dating books in general at some point with liminal and Jeroen and hopefully you if you’re up for it 🤣🫂
I think this is just trash spin? It seems like the woman has taken provocative thoughts and cultural preconceptions and spun them up into attractive consumption.
The fact of the matter that men and women form a symbiotic relationship, ultimately becoming something simular to a "singularity" is the missed conception.
If you're to ask in simple terms:
A man wants?
To be held accountable, especially when it matters most.
To be loved and most importantly, respected.
To be acknowledged, for his effort, and his positive accomplishments.
A man asks:
For loyalty above everything.
Freedom, in every way, and the trust to wield the power of freedom.
For a confidant, a like minded soul mate who challenges him in all ways other men cannot, ie: The Woman
This is brilliant! Thank you Sai ☺️🫂💜🙏🏽
I kinda want to read this after those first few sentences. Might help me in the future.
Worth a read I think, some of the things he says are a little old fashioned, but for the most part it’s an interesting read so far. Doesn’t apply to every women - I get my own stuff 🔥 - buuuut i do practice the 90 day rule he mentions 🤣🙏🏽
I recommend the rationale male by Rollo. Every woman and man I've recommened this to got tremendous value. It comes off like a pick up book, even a bit sleazy, but when you actually read the history, science and sociological information, a well thought out , practical book.
Thank you 🙏🏽 sounds intriguing, shall have a look at that one 🤓🫂
