I have the original NFC Ring from Indiegogo from 10 years ago. It has two NFC chips. I should dig it out. The inside chip for payments. The outside chip for my LN address for people to pay me 🔥🔥 I may have gotten rid of it though. I'll have to dig through some junk tech drawers and see.

You can still buy it. I found mine. The two tags are not NTAG 424 though. Which means they are not compatible with the bolt card implementation. I did try to setup a DIY LNBits Bolt implementation with my bolt card tonight though. I was getting a key error. I probably need to expose another URL to my server. I'll get it working another time. For now, I wrote my LN address on one tag and my Nostr address on the other tag on the NFC Ring. 🤙🏻

I've never seen anyone pay or get paid in bitcoin where I live. And if I mention it as an option they ether laugh at me or ignore me. 🤷

Wow this is super cool, but I feel like there is a chance that a fraudulent merchant could display a lower transaction amount on their terminal than what they actually intend to charge, how does this ring mitigate a potential risk if there is not a screen to verify the transaction before signing? Are there any built-in safeguards or secondary confirmation methods to ensure the user is only charged the amount they've agreed to?
I suppose they could cap the transaction amount to just a few thousand sats. Meaning it is just designed for micro transactions, in that case it cool and stress free ⚡️

Pardon my ignorance, but is it not true that we still do not know who created BitCoin? While I am a strong supporter of the underlying principles and objectives behind BitCoin and alternatives like it, until I know who created it, I cannot jump in with both feet.
Who is to say it was not a CIA play to round up like-minded individuals into a false safe haven only to crush them later when they see fit?
Again, pardon my ignorance, I just know that digital creators often can and do leave trap doors and secret switches and I retain HIGH SKEPTICISM of everything and everyone who insists on remaining secret...
