Run your own node.

Host your own ln address.

Run your own NWC service.

Do not slide in my comments with excuses. You're better than that.

already been did. 🌊😁

How does one host their own ln address? AlbyHub on a self-hosted Umbrel has taken me pretty far, but what's the rest of the picture?

You can do it on BTCpayServer, but GetAlby's easier because BTCpayServer requires a reverse TOR proxy.

I've got millions of webservers!

you need a public IP (some cheap vps paid by bitcoin)

wireguard tunnel to your umbrel

install nginx/haproxy to route the traffic to your node

install lnbits

add lnurlp plugin (or how that's called)

done.

I can put together something more like a tutorial, but this is a blueprint

RUN a DVM!

Be careful with hosting your own LN address as you can doxx a lot sensible data.

No

Own BTC node, own lightning node, own nostr relay (zap.watch), own nwc relay (nwc.zap.watch)… πŸ˜πŸ‘

As long as Alby still requires an account linked to an email address, I stay with Minibits. When this fall, which is announced, I will as Alby hub to my node and make my own NWC.

you can run alby hub without an account. the node runs just as fine.

check it out.

Oh we don't require that for any of the open-source tools, you can run Hub as you please πŸ˜‰

getalby Accounts require an e-mail address to log you in with OTP and have a way to contact the user.

Feel free to use any privacy-focused e-mail provider or setup.
