A set of researchers found out that almost 3.5 per cent of women dream about mobile phones and a mere 2.6 per cent of men dream about it too. It is not a huge number clearly, but most people see lesser new innovations like mobiles, computers, aeroplanes in their dreams.

Maybe it's because our phones and dreams are both virtual, and so we only dream of physical things. Maybe the phone and the dream are the same thing, extensions of our imagination 🤔
I write my dreams down every morning and I have never had a dream with a cell phone it. That's crazy to think about. OMG.

when i remenber seeing text in my dreams its always some random characters like ascii that changes whenever i start thinking that i can focus on a word

If true,It might be that the phone isn’t the thing being experienced.
For example I’ve had a period where I literally dreamed about league of legends because I was playing it so much, but I didn’t dream about my computer or my keyboard and mouse, I dreamt about the game.
It might be that the phone is just the window to the actual experience, so we don’t reference it in our minds as the phone, we reference it as “that asshole who said this,” or “that crazy video”, etc.
(I also have no memory of ever dreaming about my phone for what it’s worth)
I've never had a dream in which a phone, TV, computer, or stereo existed. I've had dreams of lots and lots of houses.🤔
I never thought about this. I don't recal having any electronics in my dreams... weird.
Could it be that during sleep the brain avoid dreaming about any addictive things?
