Yes, but I made it easy for myself: frozen fruit and whipped cream mixed together, with vanilla and sugar to taste. It's very quick
Oh thatβs yummy. Mine was also quite easy. Heavy cream (40%), eggs (egg white and yolk separated), vanilla, and instant coffee (I am making it to add in my morning coffee). βοΈ
Sounds so delicious π
Do I need an ice cream maker?
I have some extra cream in the fridge I want to use up π
Not for my recipe. I whip the cream a little (not completely stiff) and then simply add the frozen fruit into the blender. It becomes super creamy. If the fruit is already nice and sweet, I don't even add sugar (chocolate sprinkles always work π)
No I just used a hand mixer.
In a bowl blend:
- 2 cups of 40% heavy cream
(organic raw heavy cream from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows)
- 2 organic pasture-raised egg yolks
(organic eggs from pasture-raised hens, that have access to natural foraging and are raised in humane conditions)
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
(organic vanilla extract made from real vanilla beans, preferably Madagascar or Tahitian for premium quality)
- 1 tablespoon of instant coffee
(organic, fair-trade instant coffee)
Next
Whisk 2 egg whites and gently fold in the fluffy egg whites with a spoon.
Then
Put in the freezer for 4 hours and enjoy.

I haven't made ice cream, but I sure would like to...
Oh great. I saw this just as Iβm finishing my coffee. Guess what flavor is stuck in my brain now βοΈ. Looks good even if itβs something else! BTW supposedly thereβs a way to make it by beating liquid nitrogen into the mixture. Requires a bit of safety equipment.
