Your example of a man within a relationship losing his friendships is very poignant, if for no other reason than I'm sure every woman knows another woman who did this as well. Our behaviors are less gender -siloed than you seem to be assuming.

And yes youāre right women will lose their friends over a guy but men donāt lose their friends in the same way. Men neglect their friendships rather than walking away or ending it. Itās common for guys to catch up with a friend after multiple years of not talking like as if nothing happened. This is what I mean by men sabotaging themselves. They sacrifice good experiences with their friends.
Women tend to have more fallouts with their friends. Guys tend to just drift apart over time as they stop prioritizing their social lives.
Again, these are just general statements. They donāt apply to ALL people of a specific gender. There are exceptions for sure. Men have fallouts and do sabotage each other sometimes. But most of the time, men are their own worst enemies.

It's just tiresome hearing men who seem to never be around women spout nonsense and pass it off as wise truth to a large group of men who also don't seem to interact with women who are all approving snaps and zaps.

It's difficult for both genders to decipher either of these behaviors in the opposite sex because both portray them using very different means.
I'm mostly just very confused around men, which is disappointing because I don't particularly want to be single š I think a lot of people are having a similar issue though, both men and women.
There is a lot of data that shows it has never been a more difficult time to find a partner to start a family with than right now. Social media and dating apps have distorted what kind of relationships are actually possible.
And what makes me most angry is I think a lot of the discord in our society now is purposely done and benefits some.
Influencers are definitely rage baiting people to blame the opposite gender for being single. I hear a lot of complaining and see a lot of memes about men acting feminine while also seeing complaints about women expecting too much from men. The truth is that everyone is asking a lot more from their partner than any other time in history. Itās just not realistic for everyone to find everything theyāre looking for.
