What is your best case wallet setup to link with Nostr?
Obviously running your own lightning node is the best option but more technical.

You don't have to use its strike wallet. I use alby hub just fine, fwiw

Do they force anything? I wasn't forced to do anything. I don't really understand how clients generate lightning invoices so I'm certainly out of my depth at this point in the convo

You can use primal with a different wallet. Honestly I think primal and strike are probably not doing enough kyc to be compliant, but I’m not a lawyer. I suspect they’ll start doing stronger kyc at some point.
Don't you think an exchange is different from lightning wallets for the free and open Internet?
You can use a third party wallet but Primal is leading a lot of non technical users to the slaughterhouse with their social wallet.
Strike gets a lot of information from plaid when the user is linking their bank account or debit card.
All you need to be KYC compliant :
Name
Address
DOB
SSN
DL or ID
Phone / Email
Pretty sure strike gets all that.
They may not have the tightest AML but that’s a different animal.

To de-radicalize the comment: Primal might link your identity to your lightning wallet because it uses Strike, yet to bypass this “light” KYC you can config a different lightning address in the app. Expect stronger KYC once more people outside the Bitcoin tribe knows about and uses Nostr more.
You can run and fund your own lightning wallet… I mean. This isn’t a problem.
