Anytime I get into that discussion I fall back on the same analogy.
Changing who is in office to change society is like painting a car a different color and expecting different performance.
The central bank is the fuel system and the entrepreneurs are the motor.
I generally shift the way I pitch it based on the audience, but most anyone can understand that there's no political solution to the central banking problem.

The system, and the money, are broken. Our elections and options are getting worse. Proposing to solve one problem with aggressive populism that perpetuates the broken system even further. And people point the finger at the wrong things, manipulated by our politicians.
Taxing the rich without figuring out a better budget (and cutting fraud and inefficiencies) wonāt work
The rich also increasingly rely on the government and effectively bribery to support their efforts in public markets (socialism for the rich)
The free market seems increasingly dead. Thenā¦thereās Bitcoin. Thereās circular economies. Thereās peer-to-peer. Thereās opt out. Freedom, agency, liberty.
Anarchism (which I am increasingly fond of if Iām being honest), at its root, is not chaos. Itās opt out of state violence and control. Bitcoin is the peaceful opt out revolution.

The concensus among the middle class in the UK is that all of Britains woes will be solved by reversing Brexit and rejoining the EU single market š

It's funny. My family normally talks about politics over Christmas. This year it barely got mentioned. I think there has been a shift. People have totally given up on politics and politicians. They no longer expect anything from government and have begun to focus on themselves to find solutions.
Stay simple. Don't fall into deep explanations. Houses don't take value, it simply keeps the purchasing power.

When I left I wondered what Bitcoin movie might give the best intro to the idea that it isn't who's in charge and more about how the fed and fiat system works.
I don't think we can change people's minds, we can only add new ideas, which will eventually flourish and create a different garden.
Focus on what connects us (you and your family) rather than division.
We all have much more in common than weād think.
