Try replacing sugary foods with natural sugars first, like fruits. When you crave unnatural processed sugary foods, eat the fruit instead.

But first you have to change your mental model that says “I can’t cut sugar” as that is a defeatist mentality to start from.

True, everything you cook at home are many times more delicious than the things you buy in the store.

Moderation is important! And the type of chocolate, I’m not suggesting that you can’t eat chocolate, but rather that the mindset of saying you can’t live without eating chocolate is detrimental to your overall health!

You'd be surprised how quickly your taste/conditioning for it fades if you just cut it out. And you1000% CAN cut sugar. The only reason you "cant" is because you say and believe that you can't, but literally anyone can. I bet you've done vastly more difficult things in life. If you legit want to be healthy and cut sugar there's literally nothing at all stopping you. It's just a choice.

If you don't want to then that's fine too. But don't gaslight yourself and say you "can't," because you can. Just choose to do so, or don't. Then accept whatever that decision is.

(I probably brought way too much seriousness to this simple and lighthearted post 😆, but I think it's an important issue and all of us lie to ourselves a lot and we dismiss how powerful it is to be genuinely honest with ourselves, and just accept that we are in control and be ok with whatever our decisions are rather than hiding behind "I can't" -- there's a lot of power in that, imo)

Protein is still being broken down into sugar, but it takes much longer than carbohydrates, so you feel fuller longer and it is not as taxing on the body. That’s why you cannot overeat on a protein diet.

Same with quitting smoking weed. Just stop doing it. There is no secret beyond that. Be in control.

It’s a serious issue. Nothing is more liberating than feeling amazing and seeing a piece of cheesecake and not even wanting it. Getting your body to a point of disgust at such things is emboldening.

When cutting out all process carbs, in my experience it takes about 3 weeks and you no longer have the craving to eat those things.

I have a feeling this is how long it takes for the microbiome to die that specifically eats those type of carbs

Give up? I read it exactly the opposite. Take control. Maybe I'm mixing my stoicism with my Erisian Mysterees, but it's saying to give up on what you don't control, and take control of what you do. Which pretty much consists on what takes place between your ears, the echoing void of your own little pocket dimension.

This fragment tries to show that sometimes the answers to life's problems are simpler than we think, and the help we seek might actually be a matter of awareness and simple action. For me it's a form of giving up

Can you explain that more? To me, giving up would just be keeping doing what you've always done, while making a change, even in mindset is taking action.

It is simply a higher form of manifestation that cannot be understood by everyone because where there is no ego, there is a transformation of matter. We can strive and perform miracles, but this would never compare to the creation of self-denial. Where you deny yourself, there is no ego, and where there is no ego, miracles happen.

Ah, so are you using "giving up" as letting go of the ego? I don't like the term "self-denial", but I think I get what you're getting at.

The thing is, I don't think we give up the ego once and for all, but only in moments, much like non-thinking during (eastern) meditation.

I think the same as you, that we let go the ego at the certain moments. During all the times, most of us either resist or pretend to be humble or without ego. Human wickedness is an unavoidable part of life, so for me, self-denial is the most accurate term. When you denial yourself, you also give up wickedness.

Hum. So to you self-denial means giving up the ego? Or is it simpler than that, just realizing that you aren't the center of the universe? That is a form of exercise that makes giving up the ego easier, so it's something I try to do.

1st - Bigger breasts and buttocks are a problem?

2nd - Drink more water, will make you feel more full; Get the snacks and junk out the house, so you can't eat it; Front-load your day with eggs, bacon, etc, you'll get plenty of carbs throughout the day without trying; Try doing 16 hour fasts a few times per week, start at 6PM after dinner, this will eliminate mindless nighttime snacking;

Butter Bob Briggs says "butter". The reactionaries will mock him and do "eating sticks of butter" videos, but they miss the point. When I get those carbo cravings, I take one bite of a salted grass-fed butter stick. It's enough to knock the edge off of the sugar attack and replace it with satisfying saturated fats which of course is counter to conventional health "wisdom". The point is to delay the ?grelin? response that your body has acclimated to for those quick carb hits and even out that blood sugar roller coaster. Of course Mountain Dew is killing me slowly, so I'm no saint, but saturated fats is the way for me to kill carb cravings. Of course everyone is different in different and same ways... The point is to try something different yet resonable.
