Why support Apple to begin with?
It’s a network & platform with an absolutely insane amount of people on it. IMO, saying we should all just abandon it and leave the iPhoners with no options is like saying we should write the best book in the world but refuse to print a version in English.
In addition, I love my MacBook M1. Apple makes awesome hardware. The iPhone on the other hand is replaceable, it’s good, but nothing magical. There are some great android devices too. The Mac hardware however is extremely hard to beat, their application ecosystem is hugely valuable especially for media production, and Windows as an alternative OS is just a joke, imo. If you aren’t just being smug & actually know of a good laptop that will run Linux and not lose functionality (a lot of windows touchpads I found have problems when swapping to Linux), I would actually LOVE to hear about it. I am so sick of plastic, creaky shit laptops I want to pull my hair out. I wasted at least 3 months trying to find a laptop that felt good and was comparable and came up with nothing.

Seems like I hit a nerve there, sorry. As for hardware, I always prefer Lenovo laptops, ThinkPad specifically. I moved to one when I switched from Apple, never looked back. My last MacBook Air is still doing a good job running Debian too.
I wish Linux could properly take advantage of Apple Silicon. I’d probably dual boot if it did.

But yes I can zap individual notes. With the TestFlight version you can run a script that is external to the app and it turns it back on. Then there is ZapplePay that zaps automatically every time you like a post.

I'm unable to get the script to work. I tap the "On" button on the webpage. Phone asks if I want to open in Damus. I tap "Open". I'm taken to Damus. Nothing appears to happen. Cannot see any way to directly zap a note. Restart Damus. Still no luck.
