It makes zero sense. We came to Nostr for free expression, from centralized platforms that limit your ability to choose a reaction that matches what’s on your mind. Emojis have been part of nearly every client since early 2023. Why would you intentionally omit this feature? It’s practically a form of censorship.

Yes, I learned about this distinction, and thanks for responding (I'm sure it's a subject you've discussed before).
But it seems oddly limiting, and perhaps more importantly the reaction counter on the post is misaligned. Notifications are less permanent and easy to find than the stats under a post. Also, ngl, but my conspiracy brain goes to it being a deliberate type of nudge to silo things (if you know what I mean)

In the meantime, type into the search any particular things that interest you and find some accounts to follow that touch on those things. From there you'll start to find more and more people that you're interested in following.
