Can you navigate the power that Bitcoin gives you without becoming the system that you escaped?
Discussion
Yes.
good luck
Thanks, first step that I did is quit my fiat job. It will be hard.

Everyone's pushing me to get a fiat job, but I feel like I need to focus on building something that earns me money without selling my time 9-5. Because deep down, we all know freedom doesn't come from fiat paychecks, it comes from stacking Bitcoin with sovereignty.
staying in fiat job and stacking sats while taking everything a little less seriously is an underrated strategy

This is the way
I left it- realised it wasn’t that bad went back for 2 years and realised I just couldn’t keep doing it. It’s quite a smart thing to do, just hard to do for some people
Yes. Because you are not a system. Neither is Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a system, and you can also become one.
Bitcoin is a protocol; a system has levers of control.
I don't see how anyone can become a system like the one we are escaping. Would you financially censor and surveil yourself, or put yourself in a cage?
Sorry I really don't understand the analogy you're making

My favorite ethos comes from b-money because I wish to live in an open society even for people living in authoritarian regimes.
"I am fascinated by Tim May’s crypto-anarchy. Unlike the communities traditionally associated with the word “anarchy”, in a crypto-anarchy the government is not temporarily destroyed but permanently forbidden and permanently unnecessary. It’s a community where the threat of violence is impotent because violence is impossible, and violence is impossible because its participants cannot be linked to their true names or physical locations."
I'm not a lawyer or familiar with Russian law, but I assume nostr:nprofile1qqsgfhhxuemwtwm8kjk5uppv7uxtmp5pz4wm2dv59lxx5pfnsk98ysqpzemhxue69uhkzarvv9ejumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqg4waehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvs7kac3v would not be allowed to send me a check in the mail, but he mined a nostr vanity key and knows how to use bitcoin.
My dad will be 85 in a couple months. On his first day of school, he tried getting a drink of water, but the teacher told him he was not allowed to use that water fountain.
He walked home to get a drink of water because he didn't know there was a "colored" water fountain. We don't have "colored only" water fountains in the United States anymore, but it is common to see signs that say "no cash accepted." I
tried starting a meet up at a coffee shop about 104,000 blocks ago. The coffee shop had such a sign. The place was packed with gentiles. They let successful colored people in, but the sign might as well say "No Riff-Raff." In my opinion, that is not conducive to an open society.

No, too late already

Obsolete question
Maybe thinking beyond bitcoin is the way to revitalise NOSTR and find out what lies beyond.
Some will. Many won’t. I like to say money doesn’t change a person, it reveals them.
hey, as long as revelations inspire you to make memes, we're all good 👍

Owning Bitcoin doesn’t automatically fix one’s fiat brain.
Buying Bitcoin is easy, understanding what owning Bitcoin truly means takes work.

There's good reason "stay humble" comes first
That’s an easy one. Just dig a whole. Take a shit in it. Bury your ego. Done. 🫡🧡🗽

I'm not powerful... and if I ever feel like I am, I follow wise teachings of https://firstlaw.fandom.com/wiki/Nicomo_Cosca
I hope so, but it seems most bitcoiners prefer pushing the stock buy button instead of making digital signatures.
Bitcoin doesn’t give you power. You give Bitcoin power when you hold your keys. You voluntarily submit to the rules giving you, and everyone else who plays, pieces on the game board. It’s a high form of self coercion (restriction) giving you ultimate freedom (not power). The more people play, the better the game gets.
Paper Bitcoin is someone else’s game.

“Weakness corrupts, and absolute weakness corrupts absolutely. Power does not corrupt.”
It’s such an honest question to ask. Let’s hope so. The world requires that Bitcoiners be better. We have to be.

Yes. Use the power of Bitcoin to empower yourself and others, stay permissionless, stay decentralized, and never let the system’s rules rewrite your freedom.
Bitcoin gives you power.
But If you haven’t dealt with your own ego and fear, that power just turns you into the very thing you ran from
